Transformation of a male outfit to a female top and trousers for my sister
Hello everyone
A beautiful day to you all and I hope you are doing great at your respective, it's a great day for me as I am having a nice time with my sewing machine, it give me great joy anytime I sit on my sewing machine to make something nice especially for people around me to to smile on their faces. Sewing is one thing I love doing and I'm happy doing what I know how to do best. Today, I will be sharing with you the transformation of male outfit to a female top and trousers for my sister.
This outfit was initially made for my sister's husband but unfortunately, it was not his size as the tailor mistakingly used a smaller measurement for him and my sister's husband couldn't wear it, it was dumped in the house for a very long time until I went to pay my sister a visit and we were having a discussion that made her talk about the outfit, she asked if I could do something about it and I suggested that we should transform it to her size and she agreed that it was a great idea. I brought the fabric home with me and I started work on it.
First, I had to rip off the sleeves and side seam after which it was folded in two to mark out the shoulder, bust, waist and hip circumference plus seam and ease allowance.
On the sleeves, I cut it to a short sleeve since it was too long for my sister, I measured 8" plus hem allowance of 3" and folded it in.
The sleeves were sewn to the armhole circumference with the side seam allowance on both sides.
The top was successfully sewn to her size using her bodice measurement then I proceeded to the trousers, on the trousers, the only thing I did was just to sew in 1" from the initial measurement to fit in my sister measurement.
Doing this has rescue this outfit from where it was abandoned for a very long time, now my sister can wear this and I'm sure her husband will be so glad that the outfit is back to life.
I hope you like this beautiful and nice transformation I did to my sister's husband outfit to her size.
It is stylish, beautiful, and elegant. Its design stands out. Love it. Good to see how you made it. Well done!
Such a beautiful transformation
This is a benefit of being able to sew
Nice one
Nice that you transformed the outfit and now it can be useful for your sister instead of her husband, of course it is always a joy to sew for family and friends.
