Happy Sunday to you all on this Sunday, I hope you had a great day as well as I did here, it was a beautiful Sunday service and to God be the glory for great things in has done. Today, I'm happy to share with you the successful completion of my mother in-law skirt and peplum blouse outfit I made for her for the end of the year celebration, I started with the cutting and sewing of the skirt which was posted earlier in my blog and now, in here to share with you the complete and final outcome of the outfit.

I was asked to use my discretion to make the outfit but I was a bit confused about how to make the blouse, after posting the skirt, I had some of our sew mate here who gave me suggestions on what will best fit for the skirt which I agreed with, @pepefashion suggested that I make a peplum blouse and that's exactly what I did and thankfully, it was very nice. I really appreciate you all that stopped by to comment on my post.

Let me now take you through the cutting and sewing process of the peplum blouse.

It was a double flare blouse with the other flare on one side of the center front to the back.

To cut the blouse, first I cut out a 360° flare with the waist circumference measurement divide by 6.28 and the flare length measurement with a matching lining.

The second flare was cut out with the waist circumference measurement divide by 2 and divided by 6.28 then with the flare length measurement with lining as well

The lining was sewn to the main fabric and turned to the right side then the two flare were sewn together from the center back to center front.

From the remaining fabric, I cut out the front and back upper bodice with zipper allowance at the back

The front and back were sewn together with the side seam allowance before sewing the flare to the waistline.

I went ahead to cut out a basic sleeve and to make it stylish, I made a ruffle on the sleeves.

It was sewn to the armhole circumference and that was all, my mother in-law skirt and blouse outfit is ready.

This is the final and beautiful outcome of the outfit, I'm sure she will like it so much when delivered to her.
