Panic before the rain.

There is a song, "Ha, ha, oh no, don't let the rain come down", a folk music single by "The Serendipity Singers" (1964) and it reminded me of the squirrels actions this morning.

Now let's continue with the squirrel story.

"Zac, I am asking nicely if you are here, it's dripping and we have to eat before it rains"

Finally the rain intensified and after this photo the rain took over.

So we are anchored at home here and fortunately there is much to do, as I have to change the rest of the ceiling light fittings and a few other tasks that will keep me busy for the day.
A Monday to us is never a gloomy and moody day, as I simply treat it like any other day.

Haha, that's so cool how they try to get your attention, Zac, just have a look at their hungry looking eyes 👀 and of course you see them and as always you have something to fill their stomach 😁

Our Monday began cold and foggy and I got beautiful sunrise colours when I was just high enough to still be a little bit in the fog. In the afternoon we are expecting a lot of rain.

Hahaha, I just thought that they were so funny Hannes. We have a lot of fun with them and today I saw that there is a new small one around. Maybe I must start farming peanuts 🤣

Too expensive Hannes, as the houses are all priced in the higher and ultra higher brackets.
If I want such a place we will have to move into the Karoo that is miles from anywhere with very little charity work.
But I trust that God knows where we will go and maybe it's best for now that we stay here very near to a private hospital.

So now you did a Zac trick by taking shots from the car and you got it perfectly right, so I say congrats my friend 🤣

Hahaha, you will have to show your wife how to hold the steering wheel.
Mind you, that could be dangerous on a narrow mountain road, as you might find yourself in a terrible hurry down into the valley 🤣
So best is to always pull off at the side of the road where there is a small space available 😘

Nope, I said SALESMAN, as I wait in the car when Marian gets the nuts. I never go into a pet shop as I hate seeing beautiful birds in cages. It seems to disturb my soul.

Oh yeah, everywhere I go Marian goes with me. For instance like today when I took the photos in my second post, we parked the car, then Marian goes to get a table at the open air restaurant and she waits there until I come back from my walk. The waiters know us and they only bring my coffee when I return 😊

You have got a nice wife, my friend, mine would walk with me or go shopping, bu tnot wait alone in a restaurant. And when I would return from my walk there wouldn't be an empty table in the restaurant anymore, of course 🤣

Great that you understand my friend.

Yes Marian is also a very patient soul and she always has paper work that she carries with in her backpack. So when I am away she sits and sorts out all kinds of things, such as accounts and other correspondences to do with our charity work.

So methinks that that your wife has also not met Lady Patience yet 🤣🤣🤣

Hm, my wife is at least more patient than I am - she usually don't mind to wait. Maybe if she would have something to do while she waits for me, she'd even sit and wait for me in a restaurant, but so she prefers to stay with me, especially when I go for a walk and she would have to wait ... 😁

I like to do my thing alone in silence, but she can just not understand it, then she gets upset when I see a shot and ask her midsentence to keep quiet 🤣

Exactly right, but we have to take care that the females don't think that we are nasty when we go out alone. So I have a plan, as I stretch the walk for a long time when she is with and them the next time she rather sits somewhere to wait 🤣🤣🤣

Well there you go, if you both enjoyed it the you can plan many more things together Hannes and you can still go out alone on the longer hikes from time to time.
Marian doesn't like photography, but she does her own thing as you will see in my second post today.
So we both are happy and we enjoy doing our own things on the outings.

Same here Hannes and we are almost twins 🤣
I find myself very happy with this photography hobby that I have developed and I know that you also love it.
Many others just do it for the money and one cannot blame them as it is good to be rewarded for hard work. But if one loves doing it, then it makes things so much better.

I would also love to get money for my photos, but I think I have to be patient ... maybe when I retire I'll have more time to post, tweet and to promote, but at the moment I am only a very small quiet frog in between all these big and loud croaking frogs ;)

Well like me, you also continue to struggle as best you can Hannes.
And we suffer many setbacks in our struggles, as I am now again in a struggle.
Since Wednesday the value of my 2 posts per day took a serious nosedive and now I am ways of how to lift the value again.
But the main thing is that we will never give up mate, as your photos will also make you a big frog when the time arrives 🙏

Yep, we love our work and that is all that matters 😊

Believe it or not, some people call me a closed book. the only place that I talk a lot is here in the replies, but on discord and elsewhere my talk is scarce.
It's the same in life and even my wife moans at times 🤣

The normal argument goes like this, I ask here why she is repeating herself and she says because I am not listening to her.
So I say that I heard her the first time and she says yes, but you don't reply.
True as I have nothing to say 🤣🤣🤣

Oh yes, I also like to secretly smile at things that I could have said.
She says, Oh it's hot today?
I know it's hot and I could have said, so why don't you take your clothes off? 🤣
So I don't reply and she thinks I don't hear her again as she repeats what she said 3 times 🤣🤣🤣
Oh it's hot today x3. Then the normal argument starts again 🤣

Oh my, now maybe here is some great advice for you.
Leave your thumb to rest and learn to type with one of the other fingers like I do 🤣🤣🤣

My index finger has typed every word in my posts over the years and it is even talking to you right now.
It can also handle discord and it has typed hundreds of letters, so my thumb is brand new and I only use it to pick my nose, or to hitch a ride 🤣

Haha, I have hated typing when we had to learn it at school, but later I began to like it and I'm still quite fast typing blind or almost without looking. My arthritis fingers make sometimes problems and press the wrong keys 🤣

... and I will certainly not work for anybody else anymore apart from myself, that's what I want for sure 😉

Funny how the hatred of something can be turned into a love in later years.
Yeah your arthritis also worries me and I so hope that somebody will invent a cure for it. But it is the thorn in the flesh that Paul speaks about in the Bible and we simply have to cope with our pains 😥

Best is to work for yourself and I am sure that you will discover this fact. At times I worked in contracts, but I always made sure that I ran the show 😘

I have hated sports too, but only the teamsports like soccer.

I can live with the arthritis and as long as it doesn't get much worse I will not do anything against it.

Hey, I used to be a construction carpenter in the 70's and thankfully I still have all of my fingers 😘
But yeah you are right as it could have been a great benefit for many people.
