Doggie Tree at #wintermas

My sister-in-law needed a ride to the groomer's salon so her kittycat could get a bath and her claws trimmed. So, I gave them a ride. The groomer had a cute little tree in her place for the #wintermas holidays, decorated with various ornaments. Some of them were traditional balls, very pretty!

And some of them were doggies! I've always thought Schnauzers are adorable, with their little moustaches. 😁

There was also a Beagle...

...and a Golden Retriever! There were several others — a Great Dane, a Gordon Setter, etc. — but I didn't photograph them all because they were in harder-to-reach locations and I don't squat/kneel so easily any more at my current age. 😬 I could bend down to see them, yet holding the camera steady in that position was a challenge.

I rather liked this green ornament, too, with all its faceted sides instead of the roundness most of the others had.

I really liked the red-and-white ones, which looked a bit like yummy, over-sized peppermint balls! 😋

Of course, the entire tree was strung with miniature lights, making for quite a festive display!


On a completely different day recently, I loaded the trunk of my car with the household garbage and recycling that had accumulated and headed to the nearest processing station run by the County. Along the way, I passed this house, which is decorated nicely for the #wintermas holidays with just-enough decorations without being over-done! I thought it was lovely, so I briefly stopped to make a shot. I really looked even prettier to my eye, and thought the camera didn't do it proper justice; but, that is often the case, eh...?

That's so pretty! We made our air-dry clay ornaments shaped as our doggies and kitties at home for my daughter and nephew to hang !

That’s a very appropriate tree for a groomer. Just like my stackers Christmas tree. I love driving around and looking at all the cool decorations.

Thanks for the well wishes @thekittygirl, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas as well. The ex and all four kids were here (plus a couple extra doggies} and it was great. All but one kid have just departed and I'm sitting here on the couch counting my blessings (and also wondering what to do now, there's so much space in here!)

That green ornament is really beautiful! I might be influenced as green is my favourite color but I think it's also the whole design of the globe that makes it unique and different. A truly lovely one! Happy New Year! 🎇🎆

I'm rather a minimalist when it comes to holiday lights, a string to accent my front steps and enough to light up the traditional Christmas rhododendron. Those that do decorate in my neighborhood ranges from minimal to quite tacky, very few are done well.

As always... your stories are filled with memories... moments... elevating the power of family, togetherness, and positive energy. The tree at the pet groomer was quite cute! That house... wow! Would have loved a screened-in porch lol. But that's just me. And... I agree; so many times, the phone cameras just don't capture what your/our "eyes" see. But as I was saying above. The ending... that's what stuck with me...

For a kittygirl, you sure sound like a kittyoldlady 😄. I like the Golden Retriever best. Imagine that colour on an actual animal.
