A Mindful Approach To Life || LOH #228
Oftentimes we find ourselves faced with blots of uncertainties, stemming from a whole lot of factors which causes our minds to be full of consuming thoughts. I got to know that as long as we live, there will always be one or more issues to attend to, bills to sort out, lots of changes to adhere to and so on.
So why should we keep on losing focus and thinking all the time like that would solve all our problems?
I started doing something from the beginning of this year and so far it's been working for me. Initially, when I get back from work after a long day of stress, I would resume house chores, which would take me late into the night before I would finally lie down to sleep feeling completely worked out and the next day, I repeat the same thing.
I noticed that wasn't helping me at all in staying focused. Sometimes, my head will be filled with lots of things that I had begun to forget minor things, I would keep something now and in a few minutes time, I won't remember where I had kept it amongst many other things.
I am so overwhelmed that it feels like I can't seem to catch a break. I knew I can't continue living my life like that so starting from the beginning of this year, I have taken meditation seriously. There is this small space under a small tree in my compound and every evening, I take out my chair and just sit down, resting my head on the stem/trunk of the tree.
Sometimes with my phone in my hand and my airpods in my ears listening to music, other times, with books in my hands. The kind of books that would make me laugh whilst reading, I sometimes also make use of e-books.
I do this for about an hour and I have been so used to this now that I don't think I can do without it. Well, probably because it hasn't rained for months now which afforded me the opportunity to sit outside. I will have to see how it goes when we get to the raining season.😀😀😀
I also go out for small around my area. I do this mostly on weekends. Its funny how i have been around there for some years and I still don't know many places around and this few walks has helped in knowing where to get somethings around at very affordable prices instead of having to go to the main market where i have to go fron one store to another.
This small habits has really helped me stay grounded in almost all aspects of my life. I am still working on finding a balance between working and writing online but I know I will get there. I can't do it all, at least not in one day anyways, I just have to take it “one at a time”.
Thank you all for reading.

With so much to do it's a bit difficult between working and writing online, your approach of taking it one at a time is very good, as is the meditation in that space you chose, I hope all goes well in finding the balance you long for,

Life situations often give us uncertainty but I feel that the wrong routine can cause stress. Whether you follow a structured routine or a spontaneous routine, you always need to give yourself time to relax. I am glad you figured it out and decided to keep a small time for yourself in your daily life routine.

Thank you so much for coming around.
That's really admirable how you've made mindfulness a priority. It's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle, but taking time for yourself is crucial. Your approach to breaking things down and taking it one step at a time is super relatable and inspiring.
