You have humans and non-humans, called Critches. Amongst the Critches, you have fairies, centaurs, kobolds, werewolves, pucks, drows, etc.

Drow, a kind of witch and seer

Synopsis :
We follow the adventures of Rycroft Philostrate (Orlando Bloom), known as Philo, and the fairy Vignette Stonemoss (Cara Delevingne).
The fairies lived in the mountains, away from humans, in harmony with nature and protecting their history in their cave library, guarded by Vignette.
A troop of human soldiers from the Alliance came to warn them that the group called The Pact would come to attack them a few days later. Philo was one of those soldiers and he fell in love with Vignette who finally gave herself to him.
During the attack they were separated and Philo asked Vignette's best friend to tell her that he was dead, allowing her to move on and start a new life.
Many fairies joined the human republic of Burgue and became servants or prostitutes, like the other Critches who lived there.
After 7 years in the mountainous regions, the last Critches, including Vignette, want to escape their extermination and embark on a boat heading towards Burgue. Vignette is the only survivor when the boat runs aground near Burgue.
Philo arrived a few days earlier as a police inspector.
Their paths will meet several times, but Philo's past holds secrets to be revealed in the course of the episodes.
In parallel, there is the story of Imogene and her brother Ezra Spurnrose, wealthy humans, who discover that their new neighbour is a Puck with a human servant, which turns their daily life upside down.

My review :
It is a story that makes us think about prejudice, discrimination, physical differences that guide too many choices, ... Fortunately, we are also reminded that some people are open-minded and think with their brains rather than with their eyes.

It is said that fairies no longer exist, some would even say that they never existed. I like to think that they will come back to our world, like Tinkerbell in Peter Pan.

The cast also includes Jared Harris as Chancellor Absalom Breakspear in the first season.
For the setting of Burgue, the city of Prague was completely transformed for the shooting.

A second season is expected to be completed in September 2021, after the break of the health crisis. Availability would be for summer 2022 at the earliest and end of 2022 at the latest.
