Mein Blog Goldwaschen- Auf nach Italien Teil 2 // My Blog Gold Panning- Off to Italy part 2 (DEU/ENG)

Wie versprochen kommt heute der 2 Teil von meinem Urlaub in Italien mit meiner Godwaschwoche in Piemont.

Im ersten Teil ging es hauptsächlich um den Urlaub am Meer auf dem Campingplatz Cavallino.

Ich starte mit der Ankunft in der Unterkunft in Biella.
Castello La Rocchetta

(In, einem Schloss des 15. Jahrhunderts untergebracht ist schon echt klasse! Das Hotel Castello La Rocchetta bietet seine Gäste in ein einzigartiges und charmantes Ambiente. Die Zimmer sind, wie ihr seht, individuell in freundlichen Farben gestaltet und sehr sauber)

Tag 1
Als wir am Nachmittag ankamen, haben wir erst mal unser Apartment begutachtet und waren durchaus zufrieden. Eine echt schöne, große und gemütliche Wohnung. Für meine / unsere Zwecke mehr wie ausrechnend. Dem anderen gefiel es auch um länger besser als der Bungalow auf dem Campingplatz. Also erst mal auspacken und etwas Essen. Dann hab ich mir meine Prospektion Ausrüstung geschnappt und bin dann schon mal einige Stunden einige Stellen anschauen gefahren, die ich mir im Vorfeld herausgesucht hatte. Durch die lange Hitzewelle war das Flussbett an vielen Stellen trocken und man hatte nicht die Möglichkeit, Proben zu nehmen oder nur mit großem Aufwand. Aus diesem Grund habe ich dann, kurz bevor es dunkel wurde, beschlossen, zu meiner Familie in die Unterkunft zurück zufahren.

Tag 2
Nachdem ich mir am Vortag schon mal einen kleinen Überblick verschafft habe, ging es am nächsten Tag dann mit der Prospektion weiter. Ich bin dann weiter die diversen Stellen, die ich mir herausgesucht habe abgefahren, um dort Testungen vorzunehmen. Ich wollte ja den Nachweis erbringen, ob dieser Flussabschnitt Oberhaupt Gold fuhrt.
An einigen Stellen konnte ich den Goldnachweis erbringen, nur leider war es nicht so, wie ich erhofft hatte. Ich muss dazu sagen, ich hatte bis dato keine Erfahrung mit Bächen, weil ich bis dahin hauptsächlich ein Rheingoldwäscher war. Nichtsdestotrotz habe ich mich weiter flussaufwärts bewegt und immer wieder Probepfanne genommen, aber die Ausbeute wurde nicht besser, so gegen 18 Uhr beschloss ich dann zu meiner Unterkunft zurückzufahren. Zu Hause habe ich dann die Probe in Ruhe ausgewertet und konnte mir dann eine Stelle zum Surfen auf Google markieren.

(Das ist das Gold aus meinen Testpfannen, nicht alles, aber der größte Teil!)

Tag 3
An diesem Tag habe ich meine Prospektion mit einem Ausflug zu den alten Römern Lagerstätten und dem Goldwaschmuseum (Museo dell’Oro e della Bessa) begonnen, es war beeindruckend zu sehen, was die früher mit einfachen Mitteln erreicht haben.

Die Abraumhalden waren einfach riesig wie auf den Bildern zu sehen.

Ich habe mich im Umkreis dann auf die Suche gemacht. Nach vielen Kilometern und vielen Testpfannen konnte ich dann doch zwei Stellen finden, wo ich mich, wo ich mich die nächsten Tage ein wenig breitmachen konnte. Gegen 19 Uhr bin ich dann wieder in Richtung Unterkunft gefahren, auf dem Weg habe ich mir dann noch was zu essen besorgt, weil meine Frau mir geschrieben hat, sie waren auch essen und ich sollte mir was mitbringen. Im Schloss angekommen habe ich dann noch gegessen, mich fertiggemacht und bin dann ins Bett gefallen. Am nächsten Tag hieß es ja wieder früh raus.

Tag 4
heute ist auf Masse schürfen angesagt also ab zur Stelle. Erst mal in Ruhe ankommen. Dann hieß es ausladen, bevor es dann an den Dammbau ging, um meine Goldwaschrinne zu setzen. Ich musste schnell feststellen, dass der Unterschied von Schürfen in einem Bach zu schürfen, mit einem Highbänker am Rhein völlig verschiedene Welten sind. Wo man am Rhein einfach nur den Highbänker mit Material befüllen muss, ist die Situation an einem Bach meistens eine völlig andere. Hier können größere Steine den Weg zu Material blockieren. Was das Schürfen oft sehr anstrengend macht, erst recht, wenn man es nicht gewohnt ist. Nach guten 7 Stunden war dann für mich auch Schicht im Schacht. Mein Rücken macht sich so langsam bemerkbar und ich war mit dem Tag bis dahin auch sehr zufrieden. Also hieß es einpacken und ab zur Unterkunft. Dort angekommen, habe ich dann einen clean out gemacht, indem ich mein gesammeltes Material mit der Pfanne ausgewaschen habe. Tages Ergebnis waren dann 0.827 Gramm

Tag 5
An dem Tag bin ich ein wenig später losgefahren, ich wollte mal ausschlafen, anschließend mit meiner Familie frühstücken. Nachdem wir nach dem Frühstück noch Kleinigkeiten besprochen haben, bin ich danach los, als ich jedoch an meiner Stelle ankam, musste ich verdutzt feststellen, dass heimische Goldschürfer an meinem Loch bedienen. Nach einem kurzen Austausch in gebrochenem Englisch habe ich mich dann zu einer neuen Stelle begeben. Dort hieß es dann wieder alles auf Anfang. Damm bauen, Rinne setzten und Material bewegen. Auch am Tag habe ich nicht länger als 7 Std geschafft. Also einpacken und heim, die Abenddämmerung setze schon ein. Zu Hause habe ich den restlichen Abend mit der Familie verbracht.

Tag 6
Heute ging es wieder früh los, gegen 7 Uhr war ich an meiner Schürfstelle. Diesmal nur nicht alleine, der Rest der Familie wollte mal mit und ab und zu mal ein wenig ans Wasser zu kommen. Für mich war das der Start Schuss für Rinne ins Wasser und losgeht es. Heute hatte ich mir noch mal einiges vorgenommen, ich wollte doch noch was Größeres finden. Nach 9 Std war dann Schluss für heute. Ich war fertig mit der Welt, wollte nur noch duschen, was essen und einfach nur schlafen. Meine Frau hatte einen üblen Sonnenbrand! Sie war ein wenig sauer, weil es so lange ging, ;-) ;-) Das mit dem duschen hat noch geklappt bis ich dann irgendwann auf der Couch eingepennt bin

Tag 7
Als früh morgens der Wecker klingelte, dachte ich mir nur heute bleibst du noch was im Bett. Ich war immer noch gerädert von den Tagen davor. Ich habe erst mal in Ruhe ausgeschlafen, dann gefrühstückt, anschließend habe ich mir das Material von den zwei Tagen davor vorgenommen und ganz in ruhe mit der Pfanne ausgewaschen. Gegen Mittag kam dann auch der Rest zurück, sie wollten mit dem Auto bisschen weiter weg! Ich war dann mit dem ganzen auswasch von dem gesammelten Material durch und ich konnte meine Ausbeute, die ich bis dahin zusammen hatte, wiegen.

Ergebnis 2,106 Gramm

Anschließend habe ich mich dann auf dem Weg ins Hochgebirge begeben und dort vor Ort auch noch einige Steins Proben zu sammeln und Testungen vorzunehmen. Schnell musste ich feststellen, dass der Zugang dorthin sich schwieriger gestaltet als erwartet. Alle Markierungen, die ich mir vorab gesetzt hatte, konnte man nicht benutzen, da die meisten Wege versperrt waren. Ich habe dann beschlossen, mein Auto im Tal stehen zu lassen, ein Rucksack mit genug zu trinken, einzupacken und mich einfach zu Fuß auf den Weg zu machen. Der Aufstieg war mühsam, immer wieder habe ich Testpfannen genommen, auch 2 -3-mal eben die Rinne gesetzt und was tiefer prospektiert.

(Schöne große Findlinge, dort konnte ich dann die ersten Testpfannen nehmen, jedoch ohne erfolg. Ich denke, dass ich hier tiefer gehen müsste, um an die Goldlinie zu gelangen. Wenn nicht sogar der Findling alles blockiert).

Also ging es weiter den Gipfel entgegen. Ich habe immer wieder Pfannen genommen oder die Rinne gesetzt, ab und zu verirrte sich ein Flitter dazwischen aber alles nicht der Rede wert

Nach gut 3 stunde habe ich ne kleine trink und Essen pause eingelegt, um neue Kraft zusammen, der Ausblick war einfach herrlich, die einzigen Geräusche, die man hörte, war das tobende Wasser und die ganzen Tiere.

Nach meiner Pause habe ich mich dann weiter flussaufwärts bewegt immer wieder musste ich Umwege in kauf nehmen da es durch den Fluss einfach nicht möglich war

Irgendwann habe ich dann eine Stelle gefunden, wo ich meine Rinne gesetzt habe und dort noch ein wenig die Tiefe prospektiert habe. Ich habe einfach an einem dingen Stein ein ca 1 Meter tiefes loch gebuddelt und siehe da, das größte auf dem Trip.

Das Ergebnis von der Prospektion im Hochgebirge belief sich auf insgesamt noch mal 0,147 Gramm, das größte wie auf dem Bild zu sehen ist, hab ich mal einzeln gewogen. Gegen 17 Uhr habe ich mich dann langsam wieder Richtung Tal begeben, immer wieder bin ich auf tolle Ecken gestoßen, wo ich auf jeden fall noch mal hinmuss. Nach ca 2,5 stunden war ich endlich am Auto und auch total fertig. Ich wollte nur noch nach Hause.

Tag 8
Heut hieß es für mich und meine Familie alles zusammen packen, noch mal schön Frühstücken, bevor es dann wieder Richtung Deutschland geht. Ich war immer noch so fertig und hatte Glück dass meine Mutter die längste Zeit der Rückfahrt gefahren ist, sodass ich noch ein wenig schlafen konnte. Für die Rückfahrt benötigten wir 14 Stunden, obwohl wir den gleichen Weg genommen haben wie auf der Hinfahrt nur mit viel weniger Verkehr. Trotzdem waren wir alle froh, als wir nach der Tortur zu Hause angekommen sind. Ich hatte riesig Spaß auf meinem Trip und würde es immer wieder machen. Ich hoffe, ich konnte euch ein wenig mitnehmen auf meiner Reise und es hat euch gefallen.

I start with the arrival at the accommodation in Biella.
Castello La Rocchetta

(Housed in, a 15th century castle is pretty awesome! The Hotel Castello La Rocchetta offers its guests a unique and charming ambience. The rooms are, as you can see, individually decorated in friendly colors and very clean)

Day 1
When we arrived in the afternoon, we first checked out our apartment and were quite satisfied. A really nice, large and cozy apartment. For my / our purposes more than ausrechnend. The other liked it also longer better than the bungalow on the campsite. So first unpack and eat something. Then I grabbed my prospecting equipment and drove a few hours to look at some places that I had picked out in advance. Due to the long heatwave the riverbed was dry in many places and it was not possible to take samples or only with great effort. For this reason, just before it got dark, I decided to go back to my family in the accommodation.

Day 2
After I already got a small overview the day before, I continued with the prospection the next day. I continued to drive through the various places that I had picked out, in order to carry out tests there. I wanted to prove whether this section of the river was carrying head gold.
At some places I could bring the gold proof, only unfortunately it was not in such a way, as I had hoped. I have to say, I had no experience with creeks until then, because I was mainly a Rhine gold panner. Nevertheless, I moved further upstream and kept taking sample pans, but the yield didn't get any better, so around 6pm I decided to head back to my accommodation. At home I evaluated the sample in peace and was able to mark a spot for surfing on Google.

Day 3
On this day I started my prospecting with a trip to the ancient Roman deposits and the gold panning museum (Museo dell'Oro e della Bessa), it was impressive to see what they used to accomplish with simple tools.

The spoil heaps were simply huge as seen in the pictures.

I made myself in the periphery then on the search. After many kilometers and many test pans I could find then nevertheless two places, where I, where I could spread myself the next days a little. Around 19 o'clock I went then again in the direction of accommodation, on the way I got me then still what to eat, because my wife has written to me, they were also eat and I should bring me what. Arrived at the castle, I then ate, got ready and then fell into bed. The next day I had to get up early again.

Day 4
today is on mass prospecting announced so off to the spot. First arrive in peace. Then it was time to unload, before it went to the dam construction to set my gold panning channel. I quickly realized that the difference between digging in a stream and digging with a highbanker on the Rhine are completely different worlds. Where on the Rhine you simply have to fill the highbanker with material, the situation on a stream is usually completely different. Here, larger stones can block the way to material. What often makes prospecting very exhausting, especially if you are not used to it. After a good 7 hours, it was time for me to call it a day. My back was starting to show and I was very happy with the day until then. So it was called pack and off to the accommodation. Once there, I did a clean out by washing out my collected material with the pan. Daily result was 0.827 grams

Day 5
On this day I started a little bit later, I wanted to sleep in and have breakfast with my family. After we discussed after the breakfast still small things, I went off afterwards, however, when I arrived at my place, I had to find out perplexed that domestic gold prospectors serve at my hole. After a short exchange in broken English I went to a new place. There it was back to square one. Building dams, setting trenches and moving material. Even during the day I did not manage more than 7 hours. So I packed up and went home, dusk was already setting in. At home I spent the rest of the evening with the family.

Day 6
Today I started early again, around 7am I was at my digging site. This time only not alone, the rest of the family wanted to come times with and now and then a little to the water. For me that was the start shot for gutter into the water and off it goes. Today I had planned a lot, I wanted to find something bigger. After 9 hours it was over for today. I was done with the world, just wanted to shower, eat something and just sleep. My wife had a bad sunburn! She was a little angry because it went so long ;-) ;-) The shower still worked until I fell asleep on the couch at some point.

Day 7
When the alarm clock rang early in the morning, I just thought to myself today stay in bed for a while. I was still tired from the days before. I slept in peace, then had breakfast, then I took the material from the two days before and washed it out in peace with the pan. Around noon, the rest came back, they wanted to go by car a little further away! I was then with the whole auswasch of the collected material through and I could weigh my yield, which I had together until then.

Result 2.106 grams

Afterwards, I made my way to the high mountains to collect some Steins samples and perform tests on site. Quickly I had to find out that the access there turned out to be more difficult than expected. All the markers I had set in advance could not be used because most of the paths were blocked. I then decided to leave my car in the valley, pack a backpack with enough to drink, and just set off on foot. The climb was tedious, again and again I took test pans, also 2 -3 times just set the gully and what deeper prospected.

(Beautiful large boulders, there I could then take the first test pans, but without success. I think I would have to go deeper here to get to the gold line. If not even the boulder blocked everything).

So it went on towards the summit. I took again and again pans or set the gully, now and then a flitter got lost in between but everything not worth mentioning

After a good 3 hours I have ne small drink and food break inserted, to new strength together, the view was just wonderful, the only sounds you heard was the raging water and all the animals.

After my break I have then moved further upstream again and again I had to take detours in purchase because it was simply not possible by the river

At some point I found a place where I set my channel and there I prospected a little bit the depth. I just dug a hole about 1 meter deep at a dingen stone and lo and behold, the biggest on the trip.

The result of the prospection in the high mountains amounted to a total of 0.147 grams, the largest as shown in the picture, I weighed individually. Around 17 o'clock I went then slowly again toward valley, again and again I came across great corners, where I must go in any case again. After about 2.5 hours I was finally at the car and also totally done. I just wanted to go home.

Day 8
Today it was for me and my family pack everything together, again have a nice breakfast, before it then goes back to Germany. I was still so exhausted and was lucky that my mother drove the longest time of the return trip, so I could sleep a little. It took us 14 hours to drive back, even though we took the same route as on the way there, only with much less traffic. Nevertheless, we were all happy when we arrived home after the ordeal. I had a lot of fun on my trip and would do it again and again. I hope I could bring you a little bit on my trip and you enjoyed it.
