Greetings,

How are you, fellow hivers? We still have bad weather here because of typhoon Kristine. Fortunately, there was no damage; our only problem was that our road was very muddy.

Today, I will share with you all our recipes for making Pinoy street food kwek-kwek that we cooked yesterday.

Who wants street foods here, especially kwek-kwek?

Yesterday and today are both off and we're all at home because of typhoon Kristine. And because the weather is rainy and cold, it's good to eat and it seems like you always want to eat.
Are your friends always hungry during the rainy season?

And it's too muddy outside to buy a snack. I also remembered that the last time my daughter and I talked, she wanted to eat a lot of kwek-kwek just because it was a bit expensive outside. At that time I promised her that one day we would cook kwek-kwek here in our kitchen. And let's go back to our pinoy street food kwek-kwek.

These are the ingredients to prepare.

Quail eggs
All-purpose flour
Cornstarch
Baking powder
Salt
Black pepper
Water and
Colouring food
Oil for frying

Recipe:

50 pcs quail eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
1tsp salt
1tsp black pepper.
1 cup water
1 tsp Baking powder
2 cups oil for frying

Procedure

  • Boil the eggs, and after it, let it cool and peel them.

  • In a clean bowl mix the dry ingredients.

  • And add water and colouring food, and mix it well until smooth.

Note: Because I don't have orange colouring food, I used yellow and red. I mixed the two colours until I got the orange colour.

  • Prepare a clean plate with all-purpose flour, dip the quail egg, and then dip it in orange butter.

  • And finally, fry it.

And we happily ate our kwek-kwek snack.

Friends, what do you cook in the winter or rainy season?

That's all about today. I hope you like our recipe today. Thank you for your time. See you again.
