Like any other family, our family plans a vacation every summer and wants to get to the seaside.

Forgive me for saying "every family", because if you live near the sea, then maybe you plan your vacation in a completely different direction, lol.

Yes, I think that even the sea can get bored, usually it took us ten days, less often two weeks, to get the most impressions from the sea, and then we already wanted to return home.

Ever since Crimea was taken from Ukraine by a raider from the east, we, with regret, began to turn our gaze to the western coast of the Black Sea, west of the city of Odessa.

I no longer remember who exactly advised me to visit a small village called Katranka, but we decided to try our luck and go on vacation there.

What can I say, except for the richness of the sea, then, it is very difficult to entertain yourself there, it is difficult to find delicious food and it is difficult to fall asleep because of the music that rattles in numerous cafes all night.

We have been looking for a campsite where we can stay for a long time, and we made a choice at the place where the kitchen was. which allowed you to cook your own food, local chefs had very strange taste preferences.

In this regard, even the barbecue, which. in my opinion, it can’t be necessary, it turned into a routine and I wanted something else, lol.

But, this post is not about food and not about the living conditions of local tourist bases, but about the giants that, as it turned out, surrounded us.

Some of them I did not have time to photograph, I wanted to get rid of them before the thought came to pick up a camera.

Yes, the campsite was inhabited by many huge spiders, tarantulas and karakurt, which caused great concern for the safety of the family and their own safety.

They, and the huge, hungry mosquitoes, which, apparently, were created to devastate dinosaurs, were not photographed, I will show you the more peaceful giants of this park, without exaggeration, the Jurassic period.

In these places, saline soils and sparse, dried-up vegetation, lack of fresh water, you see a huge barrel with imported, burkut water in the background of the photograph, which depicts the largest grasshopper that I saw and held in my hands in my life.

At such moments, you forget about the complete lack of comfort, this is what really worth coming there for.

Yes, my Renault with great difficulty covered several tens of kilometers from Tatar Bunar to Katranka, there are roads that look like paths trodden by multi-ton dinosaurs, in the tracks of which you can hide a dump truck.

It will seem to you that this is an ordinary seagull, but its size is very different from most seagulls. She is huge.

What made me happy was that there were regular sized dragonflies and not giant pterodactels that you had to run from.

After meeting with the huge spiders that rushed to our house at sunset, the arrival of a huge hawk moth called "Dead Head" did not surprise anyone.

Although, sometimes, my wife and children screamed in fright when the next giant hit the dirty glass of the window of our campsite.

Another time, I will talk about vacations and survival in those places lol.
