Last week was my little Cami's birthday, the truth is that the arrival of her birthday takes a long time because since one birthday ends, she starts asking how many days are left for her next birthday and she does it every month until the next birthday arrives.

La semana pasada fue el cumpleaños de mi pequeña Cami, la verdad es que la llegada de su cumpleaños se hace larga porque desde que culmina un cumpleaños, ella comienza a preguntar cuantos días faltan para su siguiente cumpleaños y lo hace cada mes hasta que llega el próximo cumple.

Like every year, I buy the gift days before and plan the flavor of the cake and the snacks that I will make .... this time her birthday was Friday, so I made her a small cake and pizzas, we celebrated that day at my parents' house and on Saturday at my father-in-law's house with my husband's family. Since the virus started, we had been celebrating birthdays the 4 only of us in the apartment.

Como todos los años, compro el regalo días antes y planifico el sabor de la torta y los pasapalos que haré.... esta vez su cumpleaños fue viernes, entonces le hice una torta pequeña y pizzas, lo celebramos ese día en casa de mis padres y el sábado en casa de mi suegro con la familia de mi esposo. Desde que empezó el virus, habíamos celebrado los cumpleaños nosotros 4 en el apartamento.

One day, voting for the posts left for us on the community channel @dsc-r2cornell, I came across a post by @yraimadiaz, where she showed us the recipe for a cake like for me hahaha with chocolate all over it. As soon as I saw it I wanted to eat that cake, it was the perfect combination because besides chocolate it had coconut and that for me is heaven, so I decided to make that cake for my Cami's birthday.

Un día, votando por las publicaciones que nos dejan en el canal de la comunidad @dsc-r2cornell, me encontré con una publicación de @yraimadiaz, donde nos mostraba la receta de una torta como para mi jajaja con chocolate por todos lados. Apenas la vi quedé con ganas de comer de esa torta, era la combinación perfecta porque además de chocolate tenía coco y eso para mi es el cielo!, Entonces me propuse a hacer esa torta para el cumpleaños de mi Cami.

I bought all the ingredients and very early that day I started to make it, just as she indicated in the recipe, the truth is that I was a little doubtful about the result because it has happened to me in other recipes that they publish that it seems that they change something in the recipe and it is always too sweet or not very nice, however this time the result was great!

Compré todos los ingredientes y ese día muy temprano la empecé a hacer, tal cual como ella nos indica en la receta, la verdad que dudaba un poco del resultado porque me ha pasado en otras recetas que publican que parece que cambiaran algo en la receta y siempre quedan o muy dulce o no muy agradable, sin embargo en esta oportunidad el resultado fue genial!!

Of course my cake was not as nice as yraimadiaz's because when I unmolded the cakes, they cracked, so I had to do some work to put it together so that they could stay firm to sing birthday, but the important thing as I always say, is the taste, and there everything was perfect. The cake was spectacular, a unique flavor for that combination with coconut, everyone loved it, it was just right, it was not cloying, it was perfect! so in a way I dedicate this post to @yraimadiaz because we all loved her recipe!

Claro mi torta no quedó tan bonita como la de yraimadiaz ya que al desmoldar las tortas, se me agrietaron, entonces tuve que hacer pericias para poder armarla y que pudieran mantenerse firme para cantar cumpleaños, pero lo importante como siempre digo, es el sabor, y allí todo estuvo perfecto. La torta quedó espectacular, un sabor único por esa combinación con el coco, a todos les encantó, estaba en su punto, no empalagaba, fue perfecta! así que en cierta forma dedico esta publicación a @yraimadiaz porque su receta nos encantó a todos!

Once I finished the pizzas and the cake, I went to my parents' house, there I repaired and decorated the cake with the chocolate and we placed everything on the table, we took some pictures before singing birthday which are the ones I have shared with you throughout this post. There were snacks, cookies and pizzas, for drinks, we prepared a panelada (panela and lemon juice), the cake and jelly.

Una vez que terminé las pizzas y la torta, me fui a la casa de mis padres, allí reparé y decoré la torta con el chocolate y colocamos todo en la mesa, tomamos algunas fotos antes de cantar cumpleaños que son las que les he compartido a lo largo de esta publicación. Había snacks, galletas, pizzas de bebida preparamos una panelada (papelón con limón), la torta y gelatina.

It was a simple and very pleasant sharing, to be able to celebrate again as a family, my daughter was very happy since we decorated her with the kittens from one of her favorite cartoons, "the 44 cats".

Fue un compartir sencillo y muy agradable, poder celebrar nuevamente en familia, mi hija estuvo muy contenta ya que le decoramos con los gatitos de una de su comiquita favorita, "los 44 gatos".

And when it was time to eat the cake, everyone wanted to repeat, it is the first time I make a chocolate cake without eggs, we always have the idea that eggs make the cakes fluffy and despite not having eggs, it fluffed very well, the texture and flavor was loved by everyone.

y a la hora de comer la torta, todos quisieron repetir, es la primera vez que hago una torta de chocolate sin huevos, siempre tenemos la idea de que los huevos hacen que las tortas se esponjen y a pesar de no tener huevos, esponjó muy bien, la textura y el sabor les encantó a todos.
