My camera begged me to take sea birds.

And so in order to avoid an argument, I took some seabird shots.

A lone Grey Heron sat guarding the end of the old jetty.

Really losing my marbles as I forgot to do an introduction and had to edit the post now.

In any case, things are getting better here as far as the bad weather and the black outs are concerned and it seems that both will be good this week. I know that the birds will be greatly relieved and I think that the Heron bird looked really miserable here.
But how would you feel if you were caught in stormy winds and rain for a few weeks?

A family of Cape Cormorants were listening to a Christmas song by their leader.

But now someone else arrived, a White Breasted Cormorant (Phalacrocorax lucidus).

Wait for it as he was preparing for something and by now my coffee was cold.

Oh and before I forget!

When you see a strange pedestrian at a shop window front, that seems lost.

Such is life at the beach and it is always an adventure when we travel the 6 kilometers from our house to the beach. Unfortunately our beach will be packet with end of year holiday makers coming from all over the country and the world. So now we have a few days until the 16th to still do our thing until we withdraw from the beach until the 4th of January. Not that we mind as we are all free and we welcome the visitors, as they also have to have some time at the ocean after a very difficult Covid year.

Besides there are many other isolated spots for us to visit during the holiday period, as we are staying here at home and will just continue to do our charity thing.

I prefer animals and nature to noisy speed boats 😁

The heron looks like a Sir in his grey coat. We do have cormorants here too, but I have never heard one singing a Christmas song - must sound lovely when they all listen 🤣 !LOLZ

Now what do you take me for? Do you really think that I will go and stand in a place with my camera where I can hear the noise? I was far away with the strong wind coming from behinds me, so it was a still movie that I watched 🤣!LOLZ

Oh yes, I am glad that you also have cormorants and the singer here is called Jerry Lee Jetty, after the famous Jerry Lee Lewis 🤣
He certainly puts all of those ladies into a trace with his lovely voice 🤣

Chatting to you always lifts my stress a little bit.
The zoom can befuddle many people as some think that I am up high on the mountains when I post photos of it. In the meantime I am standing here in out garden at home 🤣!LOLZ

The same at the beach as I was about 1 kilometer away from the crowd and the boats 😉

Oh yes, I will ask him and to pacify him, I will even write the lyrics 🤣
Of course some swear words in the song like "Hey mountain goat lift your lazy ... " that I cannot place in here as my decent reputation will end up in ashes 🤣

I love my telephoto zoom lens and shoot most images with it. It doesn't zoom by far not as yours, but enough for me.

Let me tell you that even in the bad days I have never received such low incomes on posts as I do now. Imagine 4HP? What can one do with that?

We share the love for zooms as it can take one to some unbelievable sights that are only hazy to our natural sight. Most of my shots are also on the zoom 😉

Hahaha, now I value our friendship too much and shall not teach the cormorants old filthy pirate songs. I will rather teach them nice love lullaby's 🤣!LOLZ

I remember the time when I was happy to get half a Hive for a post, but that was long ago. 4 HP, that's not much, especially when you need it.

Yes have both been there long ago my friend and amazingly it feels that the same is happening now again. Only feels like it as at least we also get some HBD.

That's the idea, as if you fall asleep again when they sing a lovely lullaby in the morning, then you will be late for work and then your boss will beat you up 🤣!LOLZ

That same $10 dollars for each post has long been a target of mine and when I achieved it a few years ago, I really danced 🤣

Simple to fix Hannes, paste a message on your front door. "Out of Town indefinitely"
You can then relax at home while the whole police force is out looking for you 🤣!LOLZ
The only sad part is that you will have to leave your beloved phone off 😉

Hm, the truth is that I don't need my phone at work to work on Hive, because I could use my private laptop, which is off most of the time at the moment because there's too much to do on the office computer. I can also use the office computer to Hive, but some things are restricted and I can't edit photos.
But you are right, if I have some spare time I put my feet on the desk and use my phone to do some Hiving 🤣 !LOLZ

When I was younger I have been quite often in troubles because I said too much at the wrong time. Now I think a bit more before I say something, but still it is straight from my mind.

Oh yeah, but at least we can try to have 10 to distribute per day as then we can continue to build with 6 sent to you and 4 to others for a start.
When we have 20 per day then we can cut it down with 4 to you and 16 for others.
Thus we will help many 🙏 !LOLZ

Oh yes, our penguins and the Tern birds are also on the red list.
But we have many other species that are also nearing extinction.
