Life Itself Gives Good Reason For Celebrations
Weathering storms life throws at us, we rebuild grateful to be spared when many did not, how we celebrate once the dark clouds pass, knowing the same sun shines on all.
Weaving webs of friendship, we know it's in our nature, community growth delicately evolves into benefiting larger than oneself.
Experiencing the outdoors, connecting with nature makes me realizes the large world out there, each little thing we do or touch affects someone or something else.
Celebrations should happen daily, success or failure, storms or sunshine, life itself is worthy of celebrating, watching the sun come up or go down, motivating us ever forward striving for better tomorrows.
Wakeful moments trembling thoughts mull over ones mind, how minuscule we are in grand design within all living entities.
When the sun shines dance for joy, forget yesterday filled with pain and sorrow, salute family, friends and brave who forge ways forward, enabling all to celebrate every season.
We celebrate together outdoors as we have done traditionally throughout the years, life is one celebration with scientists saying probability of being born is about one in four hundred trillion, we never know our expiry date fortunately, celebrating is a great option, against all odds that we are here in the first place.
Surviving April we happily enter into the month of May joining together building once again, many thanks for kind well wishes received during our times of trouble during recent floods!
Bubbling with joy we have options along with kindness in fellow humans!

Beautifully written Joan. We celebrate after the storm - but I believe it is important to be able celebrate within the storm
Enjoy storms when not having to run and check drainage is working, water not entering the home.
Storms in life emotionally taxing at times, we need to remain positive to ride through gaining entry to the other side.

We hear the horrors of war, we see devastation in flooding, now we must build be positive, absolutely no use sharing negative.
I believe that there are more of us who are good.
I tell my children the same thing, this world is already full of ugly things, it's up to us to make a difference.
What you say, is what I was taught, and have tried to pass onto my boys, try live as best one can.
I am one of those who also believe that life must be continuously celebrated in the little things, in nature, in the sun that shines, in the smile of children, in the embrace of those we love, in friendship. Life itself is a celebration.

Rough seas, raw nerves, must move forward irrespective.
Many still without water they are battling with pump stations submerged in mud, then pipes burst, a bit of a nightmare!
No electricity yesterday afternoon for 4 hours again this afternoon for 3 most probably switching off to reconnect infrastructure along the line.
Country has started rolling blackouts again not able to hodl stable power anywhere!
Great to see you again..... best month of the year in Durban, weather is awesome, that perks me up somewhat 😄

I cannot agree more with you Joan, life itself really is worth celebrating. I think we've been learning hard lessons these past couple of years, I have learnt to really appreciate the little things in life!
Some hard lessons learned, yet we still standing and helping others.
Who would have thought life would knock one around repeatedly, revealing massive discrepancies in the country as a whole.
Ugly revealed itself, hopefully now build a better future for all.

Everything a good reminder to celebrate what we have, May is a month I always enjoy, hope yours turns into a wonderful time to enjoy as well.

Bit of a see-saw between positive and negative.
Sometimes you want to laugh then cry, worrying does not help nor does crying, it really is picking up the pieces and making things work once again.
I totally get it! It is hard to stay balanced in the midst of turmoil and I am glad everyone is starting to pick up the pieces. Love to you.

@joanstewart Totally agree with you that life itself gives us reasons for celebrations. The photographs are, of course, awesome as usual (especially one with the spider web floating against the sky) but in this post, even more than the photos, the following words you penned touched me -
Humans are consumed with self-importance not thinking what domino affect leads off from actions taken, thanks for reading.
Your words cause me to reflect on life and the way I see the world and those around me. Thanku for that. Sometimes we need reminding.
One would think the older you got the easier things became, not so after the last couple of years, reassess realizing we have much to do celebrating with many around us.

They told me if I killed myself now it would save the lives of countless others.
Saying the longer I wait to kill myself the more people will suffer.
They are reckless and should have shown the proper media what they had before taking me hostage for 5 years. I know there are many in prison that dont deserve to be there because of this. Its a terrorist act on American soil while some say its not real or Im a mental case. Many know its real. This is an ignored detrimental to humanity domestic and foreign threat. Ask informed soldiers in the American military what their oath is and tell them about the day you asked me why. Nobody has I guess. Maybe someone told ill informed soldiers they cant protect America from military leaders in control with ill intent. How do we protect locked up soldiers from telling the truth?
