Son chispitas || They are little sparks

When I read the title of this week's theme, Starlight, what came to my mind, automatically, was a look.... I have always found very poetic the association of the eyes with the brightness of the stars and that has been a simile that I know I have used in my poetry, on occasion. Besides, I immediately remembered this beautiful song, by our wonderful composer Otilio Galíndez, which also uses that poetic image.

So I had no hesitation in changing this week the line I have brought, of publishing salsa and more salsa, to bring you this beautiful Venezuelan waltz, which has had some spectacular versions such as the one recorded by Jesús Sevillano, by Lilia Vera and more recently by the Ecuadorian indigenous singer and composer, Mariela Condo.

Here I share with you my version, with only cuatro and without edits of any kind, to give way only to the beautiful melody and its magnificent lyrics. This is my contribution to Hive Open Mic Week 148.

Al leer el título del tema de esta semana, Luz de estrellas, lo que se me vino a la mente, de manera automática, fue una mirada... Siempre me ha parecido muy poética la asociación de los ojos con el brillo de las estrellas y ese ha sido un símil que sé que he utilizado en mi poesía, en alguna ocasión. Además, enseguida recordé esta bellísima canción, de nuestro maravilloso compositor Otilio Galíndez, que también usa esa imagen poética.

Así que no tuve ninguna duda en cambiar esta semana la línea que he traído, de publicar salsa y más salsa, para traerles este hermoso vals venezolano, el cual ha tenido algunas versiones espectaculares como la grabada por Jesús Sevillano, por Lilia Vera y más recientemente por la cantante y compositora indígena ecuatoriana, Mariela Condo.

Acá comparto con ustedes mi versión, solo con cuatro y sin ediciones de ningún tipo, para darle paso solo a la bella melodía y su magnífica letra. Esta es mi contribución al Hive Open Mic Semana 148.
