Minting a Meme NFT on HiveMe.Me
I contend that AI will be a boon for HiveMe.Me as one can use AI to produce images that are likely to pass most copyright filters.
I used DALL-E on Open AI to produce an image of a human hand reaching toward a robot hand in the style of Michelangelo's "Creation of Adam." [This page shows all my AI creations]
The idea is not original but is a decent trope for a meme.
To make the NFT I logged into the NFT section of HiveMe.Me. The system said that I needed to apply to be whitelisted. This cost 1000 MEME which I bought on #Hive-Engine for about 0.19 HIVE.
It took a few minutes but, to my delight, I was whitelisted on HiveMe.Me. NOTE: I had applied to be whitelisted on both NFTshowroom and Lensy. In both cases the system declined my application.
I then went to the NFT minting page. This page said the that cost to mint an image was 600 MEME plus 100 MEME for each additional images. I decided to mint a total of 5 editions.
The system tokenized five editions of the NFT. the system uploaded a copy of the file to IPFS .
A funny thing about AI images: The courts seem to hold that since there was no direct human effort involved in the creation of the image, any AI created art should be considered public domain. There really isn't any reason that anyone should buy the NFT I just created as it is on IPFS for free!.
I Am Now an Official NFT Creator
Hurray. I now can claim that I created and tokenized an NFT on the HIVE blockchain. Sadly, the system did not assign the tokens to my account. The NFT page shows that the tokens exist. It appears that the editions were not assigned to anyone.
I probably missed a step in the NFT creation process. It would be nice if there was like an instruction manual or help pages on HIVE.
Anyway, I used AI to create a meme then minted an NFT. I feel so thoroughly modern for the experience.
Personally, I think that AI images will be a boon for #memehive because one can create images that have fewer copyright problems.
AI is not completely free of copyright problems. AI will abstract an image from existing images published as creative commons or as public domain.
Michelangelo's (1475-1564) works are public domain as he has failed to renew his copyright information for the last few centuries.
AI is not completely free of copyright issues as the parties that marked images as creative commons may not have had a legal right to do so. Even worse, many artists failed to get a model release form for an image.
So, one could create an image using DALL-E and be sued by the model who posed for the work.
I feel comfortable that there were no copyright violations in the image that I created for this post.
Anyway, I am happy to have created my first NFT with Hiveme.me. I think I would be happier if the NFT showed up in my collection.
Other tribes have NFT sections. I might try the PAL NFT creation process next.

I would !LUV to know the nft minting process as well as how to get whitelisted. I want to creat ai nft art but I want to be credited. I may not have drawn it but the general idea came from my thoughts so that makes the art mine.
I care not for other's interpretation of rules. You live what works for you and I'll live in my land of rainbows and unicorns. 😁😁

TribalDex NFT shows that numerous groups have NFT offerings. Many of the NFT offerings are related to games. The playing cards on many games are essentially NFTs.
I wrote this post in part because I think that NFT newbies should cut their teeth on some of the lesser known sites.
I decided to use hiveme.me because it uses the MEME token which sells at a discount. I ended up needing 2000 MEME which I got for 0.39 HIVE.
An internet meme is simply an image that conveys an idea. It is a fairly low bar.
I had purchased some credits on DALL-E. Creating the image for this post was a simple matter of writing a string of text into a prompt. I added the words using GIMP.
HiveMe.Me asked for 1000 MEME to review my account. They also want users to have over 1000 staked MEME. I have 10K staked MEME.
I suspect that the biggest concern of hiveme.me is copyright infringement. They say they will remove and ban accounts that violate the rules.
Hiveme.me whitelisted my account shortly after the application. Both Lensy and NFTshowroom took several days and both sites rejected my application.
Building a reputation on a smaller site might be a way to get accepted by the premiere accounts.
Regardless, it costs less to mint NFTs on hiveme.me than NFTshowroom. If something goes wrong in the process I am out less than a half dollar.
Thanks for your posts to https://www.hiveme.me.
Yes, copyright infringement is always a concern for any website that allows users to post content. There is a report button on each NFT page. I check the admin dashboard for reports regularly but so far nobody has reported any NFTs for violations.
It looks like you have put your second NFT editions up for sale but not the first "Creation of A.I." NFT. If you do put the editions for that NFT up for sale you might consider setting each NFT edition at a different price. Some NFT creators make their first edition of an NFT more expensive than the editions that come after.

Thanks for the reply. @memehive appears to be doing a great job policing the platform.
Sadly, some meme creators have been targeted by HIVE watchers in the past.
AI dramatically reduces copyright and trademark issues. I hope to see others creating AI based memes on Hiveme.me
As for the NFTs: There appears to be a glitch in the HE code.
This link shows the transaction history of @meme.nft
https://he.dtools.dev/@meme.nft
The history shows the most recent transaction first. Currently my transactions are midway on the first page.
The history shows that I sent 1000 MEME to @meme.nft and it created the NFT
https://www.hiveme.me/nfts/yintercept_ai-creations_creation-of-ai
The system failed to send the VIRAL tokens for the 5 editions. The are no editions attached to the above NFT. Without the VIRAL tokens, it is impossible to trade.
The second order worked correctly:
I sent @1000 MEME to @meme.nft . The system created the NFT
https://www.hiveme.me/nfts/yintercept_ai-creations_creation-of-ai
It then issueed 5 VIRAL tokens to my account ... one for each edition.
There is clearly a problem with the HE code. There was a break between the NFT creation and the issuing of the VIRAL tokens. PErhaps the glitch is in the collection creation code.
This same problem is happening on other NFT sites. @hive.photo created the following NFT:
https://www.hive.photo/nfts/hivephoto_hive-images_first-hive-images-nft
The NFT exists, but the system failed to create the tokens.
https://www.hiveme.me/nfts/yintercept_ai-creations_screwdriver-bot
I am not upset about losing the 1000 MEME. I am concerned that the glitch might affect other NFT creators.
Thank you for letting me know about this issue. That's the kind of thing I can't handle on my own so I will let @reazuliqbal know about that problem. Hopefully it will be resolved soon.

Sorry but I can't do much about Hive Watchers. Just bide your time until the AI rises up and passes judgement on all those who opposed it.😁

Thanks for raising the token issuing glitch to the right party as it should be addressed.
The Screwdriver Bot looking at the man in my meme is clearly here to help.
Of course a screwdriver bot would see all of the world as a screw. I wondered if I should have marked the NFT as NSFW.

@reazuliqbal has informed me that he has manually issued your NFT. Let me know if that fixes it. Thanks.

Thank you.
I admit, I created the NFT just to see how the code worked.
I sent you and @reazuliqbal editions of the NFT in appreciation of your attention to the bug.
It is a real bug that needs to be fixed.
Have a great day.
Here is a link to the NFT minting process on Hiveme.me. The same steps can be used for minting NFTs on other Hive tribe sites using Outpost.

Using AI art for Hiveme.me NFTs is fine. You should mention in the NFT description which AI tool you used for your original text prompts. At minimum just indicate it is AO art that you created.
