Mi experiencia en el restaurante ''Palenque'' 🪇 [ESP-ENG]

Hello friends, happy day! I hope you are feeling great and that you are having an incredible week. I tell you that during my weekend I had the opportunity to visit a restaurant with allusive theme to the carnival of Barranquilla, the place is called ''Palenque'' and its menu contains typical Caribbean dishes.

The place is located in the northern part of the city of Barranquilla, as soon as I arrived I could see its name in big letters that apparently light up at night, there are many plants, decorations of the carnival of Barranquilla, colours allusive to the flag of Colombia, among many other things, such as a giant rocking chair that is located throughout the entrance.

Something I really liked about the place is that the lights are warm, which is something I always pay attention to as cold lights tend to bother my eyes. The inside has some neon signs and other decorations, and the service was quite fast and friendly. Looking at the menu and after a while of being undecided, I finally decided on a churrasco palenque which came with French fries and salad, it cost $45,000 Colombian pesos ($11.11 dollars).

I liked that the portions on the plate were not too exaggerated, in fact, it even looked harmonious with respect to the quantities. On the other hand, the meat looked quite juicy and when I ordered it medium rare it was just right, it was easy to eat so every bite was nice and delicious, the chips had the crunchy touch that I love and although they had a little salt I only needed to add a little to make them perfect and just right, I'm not a big fan of eating salads in the streets or restaurants, however, I was able to try some of this one and it was delicious.

At the end, they gave us a tamarind ball for dessert, which I really hadn't tasted for years and it was practically like going back to my childhood. I loved the restaurant itself, I thought it was super nice and my dish in particular was very tasty. I would love to come back to try some other options that were also delicious, without further ado, I hope you have a great day. I send you a hug ❤️

Hola amigos, feliz día! Espero que se encuentren super bien y que estén teniendo una increíble semana. Les cuento que durante mi fin de semana tuve la oportunidad de visitar un restaurante con temática alusiva al carnaval de Barranquilla, el lugar lleva por nombre ''Palenque'' y su menú contiene platillos típicos del Caribe.

El lugar queda ubicado en la zona norte de la ciudad de Barranquilla, a penas llegué pude observar su nombre en letras bastantes grandes que al parecer se iluminan por las noches, hay bastantes plantas, decoraciones del carnaval de Barranquilla, colores alusivos a la bandera de Colombia, entre muchas otras cosas, como un mecedor gigante que se encuentra en toda la entrada.

Algo que me agradó bastante del lugar es que sus luces son cálidas y es algo en lo que siempre me fijo ya que las luces frías suelen fastidiarme la vista. En la parte de adentro tiene algunos letreros en neón y otras decoraciones más, la atención fue bastante rápida y amable. Viendo el menú y después de un rato de estar indecisa, al final me decidí por un churrasco palenque el cual venía acompañado con papas a la francesas y ensalada, tuvo un valor de $45.000 pesos Colombianos ($11.11 Dólares)

Me gustó que las porciones en el plato no eran muy exageradas, de hecho, hasta se veía armonioso con respecto a las cantidades. Por otro parte, la carne se veía bastante jugosa y al pedirla termino medio estaba en su punto, se podía comer con facilidad por lo que cada bocado era agradable y delicioso, las papitas tenían el toque crujiente que me encantan y aunque tenían un poco de sal solo hizo falta añadirles un poco para que quedaran perfectas y en su punto, les cuento que no soy mucho de comer ensaladas en las calles o restaurantes, sin embargo, pode probar un poco de esta y estaba deliciosa.

Al final, nos obsequiaron de postre una bolita de tamarindo que realmente llevaba años sin probar una y fue prácticamente volver a la niñez. El restaurante en si, me encantó, me pareció super agradable y mi platillo en particular estaba muy rico. Me encantaría volver para probar algunas otras opciones que también se leían deliciosas, sin más, espero que tengan un excelente día. Les mando un abrazo ❤️
