My return to Chile

On the last day of vacation in Maracaibo, Venezuela, they took me to various places to get my hair done, my nails done, and to eat in a new place. The morning literally flew by because I had to be at the airport at 2 pm, so I tried to make the most of everything that was coming because, after 13 hours of flight, I would be stepping on Chilean soil.

Deciding how long I wanted my hair was easy; So, after a good wash and condition, they proceeded to cut my hair and improve its appearance. The hair seems to be, along with the skin, the ones that are most affected by the sun's rays, so doing some keratin treatments, cutting the damaged ends, and painting, it is necessary to show it off, and my first spectator will always be my husband. ... the others, clapping is enough, haha.

Then came the hands; Moisturizing and massaging the hands, cutting and conditioning the nails, to later be painted, was the second thing we did. Then I went out to have a coffee with my friend of many years since we had not had the opportunity to meet and share.

We talk about many things we have in common and about those things we learned during our distance. It was a very enriching experience and full of pleasant memories since we were working together for more than 5 years in a school.

After this, I went out to have lunch with my daughter in a nearby restaurant that she likes a lot; For me, it was lasagna with gratin cheese, fried green plantain tostones, and lemon juice with papelon or panela, which is very typical in our country, and for her, grilled chicken (in this case she ordered breast) rice and raw salad, with a glass of Coca-Cola, nothing healthy, but it's what she wanted.

I really enjoyed this outing with my daughter in which we talked about many topics about her future and how she has to face the new challenges that arise in our lives every day, in the face of a declining and uncontrolled economy.

After a sad, but loving farewell, I boarded the plane around 4 pm, heading towards the Panama airport, waiting almost two hours, and boarding the new plane headed for Santiago de Chile, arriving around 3 in the tomorrow. Going through immigration took me almost an hour since many people were traveling, and then I sat in an establishment waiting for them to come for me, which happened at exactly 6 in the morning.

And this does not end here! That same day, at night, we went to a restaurant to eat something and sing karaoke, and we will talk about this in a future post.

El último día de vacaciones en Maracaibo, Venezuela, me llevaron a varios lugares para hacerme un nuevo look en mi cabello, arreglarme las uñas, y a comer en un nuevo lugar. La mañana se fue literalmente volando porque tenía que estar a las 2 pm en el aeropuerto, así que, procuré disfrutar al máximo de todo lo que venía porque después de 13 horas de vuelo, estaría pisando suelo chileno.

Decidir qué largo quería mi cabello fue fácil; Así que, después de una buena lavada y acondicionada, procedieron a cortarme el cabello y a mejorar su aspecto. El cabello parece ser, junto con la piel, los que son más afectados por los rayos del sol, de manera que hacer algunos tratamientos de queratina, cortar las puntas maltratadas y pintarlo, es necesario lucirlo, y mi primer espectador, siempre será mi esposo... los demás, con aplaudir basta, jaja.

Luego vinieron las manos; Hidratación y masaje de las manos, corte y acondicionamiento de las uñas, para luego ser pintadas, fue lo segundo que hicimos. Luego salí a tomarme un café con mi amiga de muchos años, ya que no habíamos tenido la oportunidad de reunirnos y compartir.

Hablamos de muchas cosas que tenemos en común y de aquellas que aprendimos durante nuestra lejanía. Fue una experiencia muy enriquecedora y llena de gratos recuerdos, pues, estuvimos trabajando juntas durante más de 5 años en una escuela.

Luego de esto, salí a almorzar con mi hija en un restaurante cercano y que a ella le gusta mucho; Para mí fue lasaña con queso gratinado, tostones de plátano verde frito y jugo de limón con papelón o panela, lo cual es muy típico en nuestro país, y para ella, pollo a la plancha (en este caso pidió pechuga) arroz y ensalada cruda, con un vaso de Coca-Cola, nada saludable, pero es lo que ella deseaba.

Disfruté muchísimo esta salida con mi hija en la cual conversamos de muchos temas acerca de su futuro y cómo ha de enfrentar los nuevos retos que día a día se presentan en nuestras vidas, frente a una economía en decadencia y sin control.

Después de una triste, pero amorosa despedida, abordé el avión cerca de las 4 pm, con rumbo hacia el aeropuerto de Panamá, esperar casi dos horas, y abordar el nuevo avión rumbo a Santiago de Chile, para llegar cerca de las 3 de la mañana. Pasar por migración me llevó casi una hora, ya que mucha gente estaba viajando, para luego sentarme en un establecimiento a esperar que vinieran por mí, lo cual ocurrió a las 6 de la mañana exactamente.

¡Y esto no termina aquí! Ese mismo día, en la noche, fuimos a un restaurante a comer algo y cantar en el karaoke, y de esto hablaremos en una próxima publicación.
