Hola estimada comunidad de padres, madres y representantes, un saludo afectuoso para todos cargado de mucho cariño.

Hoy me siento particularmente feliz, ya mi último hijo, Jairo, concluyó ayer la discusión de su proyecto de quinto año y este fue aprobado, con esto concluye su etapa escolar del bachillerato para pasar luego a vivir una nueva experiencia como estudiante universitario. Sus notas este año estuvieron excelentes, ya en el 2do lapso, con la sumatoria de este y las calificaciones del 1ero lapso, tenia todas sus materias aprobadas. Su tercer lapso también fue excelente y finalmente la aprobación de su proyecto final, doy gracias a Dios por todo. Pero, no dejo de pensar en lo rápido que pasa el tiempo, parece que fue ayer que estaba en el preescolar.

Sin duda, el tiempo pasa rápido, este se ve reflejado en nuestros hijos, lo rápido que crecen, por eso hay que disfrutarlos en cada etapa vivida, amarlos, cuidarlos, ayudarlos en su proceso de aprendizaje, orientarlos, guiarlos. Ser para ellos esa base fuerte, firme, que les provee la seguridad que necesitan en los momentos difíciles para asumir y afrontar los retos que se les presenten en su ambiente escolar, con buen ánimo, con perseverancia.

En mi caso, con Jairo, concluye para mi también una etapa, ya no tendría hijos estudiando los primeros niveles de educación, ya pasamos la etapa del preescolar, primaria y secundaria. Tengo 2 hijos estudiando en la universidad y ahora se suma Jairo a esta nueva experiencia para el, confiamos en Dios todo le sea con bien. Como docente por supuesto siempre estaré ligada al ambiente estudiantil, pero con mis hijos ya concluí esta etapa y me siento feliz, mis tres hijos bachilleres.

Cada etapa escolar es importante, el preescolar provee la iniciación en el aprendizaje mediante el juego y la interacción con otros niños. En esta etapa van adquiriendo motricidad fina (coloreando, recortando) y nociones básicas de espacio ( atrás, delante, arriba, abajo), tiempo , masa ( al jugar con plastilinas y objetos moldeables), volumen ( los liquidos), los colores, formas geométricas, clasificación de animales, y muchisimas otras cosas muy importantes para su desarrollo así como también aprenden sobre la sociabilidad con otros niños y algunas normas de convivencia.

En primaria una maestra en cada grado le inicia en las distintas áreas del saber presentando desde la generalidad las nociones básicas de cada área, matemáticas, lengua, ciencias, geografía, ciudadania, artistica, historia, deporte, entre otras. Cada aprendizaje le aporta conocimientos generales que le ayudaran luego al iniciar secundaria.

En secundaria viene la especialización, cada docente en su área específica profundiza en los conocimientos necesarios que le preparan para la vida útil y se le dan las herramientas básicas necesarias de aprendizaje para su incursión en la universidad o en el campo laboral en el caso de aquellos bachilleres que cursan hasta el 6to año en las Escuelas Técnicas y salen con una mención como contabilidad, mercadeo, turismo, informática, agropecuaria, industrial, entre otras. En estas instituciones algunos han podido luego de hacer sus pasantías quedar laborando y al mismo tiempo algunos chicos continuan con sus estudios. Es una ventaja en relación a los que salen bachiller en ciencias, pero representa un año más de estudio en secundaria, que es el 6to año. Yo trabajé durante años en la Escuela Técnica Comercial Pedro Arismendi Brito y muchos jóvenes egresados con el 6to año pudieron conseguir trabajo a la par que estudiaban.

Actualmente, se está implementando una modalidad en convenio con el Ince donde los estudiantes deben cumplir un mínimo de horas de asistencia a capacitación en algún curso específico, mi hijo Jairo escogió informática y le ha ido bien. La idea es preparar a los jóvenes en el conocimiento de un oficio o arte que le sirva a futuro de forma significativa.

Cada aprendizaje recibido por nuestros chicos en la etapa escolar debe ser valorado, sé que nuestro sistema educativo tiene deficiencias de infraestructura, recursos, dotaciones, entre otros, pero debe ser valorado el esfuerzo de estudiantes y docentes que cada día se empeñan en dar lo mejor para avanzar y ayudar a avanzar en el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje. Como representantes también debemos dar lo mejor de nosotros, a veces estando cansados, ocupados, pero respondiendo a las exigencias académicas con el amor que amerita el ayudar a nuestros hijos en sus estudios. Recuerdo las maquetas, láminas para exposiciones, carteleras, investigaciones, mapas, tantas cosas, que en su momento les tocó a mis hijos hacer. Por supuesto en la medida que avanzaban en sus grados se les facilitaba hacerlos solos, pero siempre que me necesitaban trataba de estar allí para ellos. Gracias a Dios hemos llegado a feliz termino de estas etapas, estoy contenta ya en espera de la graduación de mi hijo menor Jairo.
