Po sporej przerwie wracamy do cyklu o Kleinfeldzie. Plan działania mam zarysowany, ile uda się z niego zrealizować czas pokaże.
Dziś wracamy na ulicę Wrocławską. Właściwie budynek, o którym będzie między innymi ten odcinek, było widać jako bohatera drugiego planu w odcinku piątym, ale ostatecznie nie grał żadnej roli, ponieważ jego elewacje przesłaniało częściowo rusztowanie i został świadomie pominięty. Remont w międzyczasie się skończył, więc pora powrócić pod numer 42.
Elewacja została odmalowana. Budynek nie został poddany termoizolacji. Zapewne konserwator nie zgodził się na ocieplenie zewnętrzne styropianem.
Zwróćcie uwagę, że za furtką widać ślad po skrzynce, która była zawieszona przy malowaniu, a została później z niewiadomych przyczyn zdemontowana.

Willa Neumanna, Wrocławska 42
Mistrz murarski Franz Emanuel Neumann założył swoją firmę w 1897 r. Trzy lata później zaprojektował i zbudował uroczą secesyjną willę przy Szosie Miechowickiej (następnie Hindenburgstr. 16d) wraz z oficyną i remizą w podwórzu, z których ta ostatnia kryła biura, stajnię, garaż i pomieszczenia na narzędzia. W 1915 r. podniósł standard dla lokatorów i podwyższył oficynę o jedno piętro lokując tam toalety i łazienki. Neumann od początku swej działalności był głównie specjalistą od przebudów, zmian i modyfikacji istniejących budowli i raczej nie zajmował się projektowaniem architektonicznym, zaś jego autorskim opus magnum, oprócz samej willi, była przebudowa hali sportowej na kościół. W latach 30. szukał nowych źródeł zarobku, przebudowując remizę na mieszkania oraz stawiając na swej działce dom oznaczony obecnie
nr 40. Umarł u progu II wojny światowej, zaś w willi została jego żona Ottilie i córka Margarethe.
W styczniu 1945 r. willa została spalona, jednak nie na tyle, aby fundamenty i ściany parteru nie mogły posłużyć do odbudowy, a raczej zaawansowanej przebudowy
i nadbudowy domu w 1948 r. na kamienicę czynszową z szeregiem mieszkań, przez co pierwotny budynek zmienił się praktycznie nie do poznania. Przed zniszczeniem willa miała bardzo malowniczą formę – z wieżyczką na rogu, licznymi balkonikami i loggiami (w stylu willi „Josephine” przy ul. Wrocławskiej 52), zaś po odbudowie ze starej willi zachowały się interesujące maszkarony zdobiące narożną wieżyczkę. Po wojnie do willi wprowadził się pułkownik Stefan Julian Szlaszewski, dowódca stacjonującej
w Bytomiu 7. Łużyckiej Dywizji Piechoty, a następnie kierownik wojewódzkiej Grupy Ochronno-Propagandowej, jednostki sformowanej przez Korpus Bezpieczeństwa Wewnętrznego i Wojsko Polskie w celu skutecznego przeprowadzenia akcji propagandowych przed referendum z 1946 r. Zadaniem tej jednostki była organizacja wieców i spotkań wyborczych, indoktrynacja oraz bezpośredni nacisk na ludność.
Jak idziemy po swoich śladach po Wrocławskiej, nie sposób odnotować, że coś dzieje u innego bohatera wspomnianego 5 odcinka. Nie udało mi się w internecie znaleźć żadnych informacji, a na samym budynku brakuje tablicy informacyjnej, ale mam nadzieje, że to jakiś gruntowny remont, który zakończy się ponownym oddaniem obiektu do użytkowania. Wielkość zbiornika budzi pewnego rodzaju nadzieje.
Tylko czy gołąb będzie zadowolony z likwidacji miejscówki na gniazdo?
