The Weekly Zekely - Quite the week!
Back to start another week with a review of the previous week in the life of Zeke. I like to take a look back to reflect on memories & experiences to share with the Hive community for inspiring conversation and gigantic crypto rewards. If you are new here, welcome to my life.
I shall mine the images on my phone for nuggets with interesting stories, experiences or perspectives. Looks like a crazy week without even mentioning boring work!
Charity
As of late, I have settled unintentionally into a pattern of weekly charity work. Not because I am banking virtue tokens or anything, just because I work with a local organization https://maph.ca mobilizing to help Ukrainian refugees build a life in this region. I helped put together a story on the @town-crier account (for our company https://towncriermarketing.ca) here https://hive.blog/ukraine/@town-crier/ready-to-welcome-refugees but I am often called to help out. Whenever the press is there for a story, I am a bit of a translator, coordinator and reporter for social media. Here we are in stone town working with the local United church who is helping collect and store essential items.
I hear often these days how bad the world is getting and that nothing good seems to happen. I will agree to disagree because they simply need to look for the helpers. Kids nowadays?!? How about these helpful young fellas helping load supplies in the van for transport? Respect for elders? They broke into a round of applause for Geza when he showed up to ask for help.
Someone grumbled that he hoped we get a parking ticket while delivering supplies to a home that has made room for a refugee family. He can have a nice day too.
Oh Daniel
This is as good a picture as I could manage to snap in the moment between walking in the room and realizing I was there to witness the toy. If you look into his eyes, I may have captured the oh shit moment. It is hard to be mad at a little cuddly soft warm moron who can't distinguish between a toy and not a toy. Such a sensitive and fun pain in the ass who seems to complete the chaos of beings sharing this home.
I dusted off my old @actifit app and get out for a #sublimesunday which is a wonderful movement and community here. https://hive.blog/hive-193552/@zekepickleman/actifit-zekepickleman-20220322t023721504z I learned that the smartphone app posts your blog entry not only on all Hive blog front ends and on Steem, but also on Blurt (https://blurt.blog/) which has a nice tight community of folks I know from my humble beginnings on Steem.
Not only did I manage over rewardy 6000 steps, I also bolstered my blockchain presence with a new Helium hotspot. People who know about this project also probably are aware of the "supply chain issues" that caused such delays for people who ordered their nodes a year ago. Those who haven't discovered this blockchain and people-powered networks can do so here https://www.helium.com/
Music!
Because of the slow return of live music, I finally got around to pulling the old girl off the wall for some love. A long-overdue rubdown to clear 2 years of dust, a new set of D'addario strings, and a date at the studio to play some Huey Lewis. Footage has been sparse as of yet but a fun story is evolving towards the live show night April 16th. Follow to make sure you catch that one if you would like the inside track on how a hockey team can become a band and throw a live show in 1 month's time.
Hive
I had the chance to spend a couple hours with some pretty special folks many of us know well. This was the AMA for a Hive Proposal which obviously has some potential and support. https://hive.blog/film/@filmmaking4hive/blockchain-wars-feature-length-film-script-proposal is something I would like to request you look into and consider supporting with a vote. Tom @thedeltron and Ryan @filmmaking4hive are obviously excited, capable and determined to herd these cats and make something special.
Srsly check it out and get involved in any way you choose.
Beer
As the blockchain beerologist, there would be some sort of revolution if I didn't tease a #beersaturday brew. I was thrilled to find a new twist on an old favourite from one of my preferred breweries. I think you should grab a craft beverage from your slice of the world and join @detlev and the gang on Saturday. That is all it takes to become a professional beer blogger.
Covid Update
Mask Mandates have become elective for local businesses as things seem to be speeding back to normal, or another lockdown. I am ready to make the most out of either. I love the personal choice on mask wearing assuming we are out of the worst of it and the hospitals can handle the spread of a community dropping its guard. Those wearing a mask are not sheep or scared, they are careful. Those not wearing masks are not in denial, they are leading the way back to normal and can still be careful.
Things aren't gloomy. They are spooky and about to get exciting!
Thanks for checking in catching up on the last week of winter in the year of awesome!

Your commitment to those in need continues to speak of your character, great work my friend.
Good luck with your live show on the 16th of April. Just hanging with the boys you play hockey with has got to be fun as you get ready to perform.
I like your take on wearing masks. It is a personal choice, one that should not cause a rift between those with different ways of feeling comfortable with a situation that has gone on for far too long.
Happy to support the #hive proposal, 212, it sounds like a great idea.
Keep on trucking, despite the problems with the supply chain. 😁
Haha yah man.
Proposal 212 is a considerable undertaking but the right people are involved already. A little more community support from champs like you and we will really be onto something. Imagine the professional content as a marketing and exposure piece!
Digital/blockchain revolution and the power of community!
I love your enthusiasm!
I have always felt that if you are going to do something, do it to the best of your ability and give it everything you have.

Mask or no mask? It's personal, however, I try to be accomodating as I've had to wear one on the job for so long, it was second nature. Good luck with your show!!Woot!
Keep up the great work, Mr. Wonderful!❤️
