Warhammer 40k - Painting day - I make some progress and finish some of my Characters
Today I took a bit of time for myself today and painted some of my models.
Since there is no real rush or deadline for anything that I am doing, I just focussed on taking my time to paint the models to the standard that makes me happy.
I did a few final touches on one Wolf Guard Battle Leader below...
Then started with the other two Wolf Guard Battle Leaders for this particular army.
This is what a completed Wolf Guard Battle Leader (Lieutenant) looks like.
I start however with a brown basing on the face.
All the gold bits also first gets a black layer, then bronze and then gold.
The shoulder marking is Black and Yellow which is Wolf Guard ranks.
On the other side is the plain bright blue of the Stormwolves.
I decided on some extra detail of black and yellow on the Backpack. Because this is Space Wolves, I do not need to be particularly uniform. Every single hero's totems and honor markings can be different.
If Space Wolves are from the same Pack, then their shoulderpads will be the same. But any other detail can be non-uniform in appearance.
Here is the other Wolf Guard Battle leader.
All three are armed with Master Crafted Boltguns and Powerfists.
Here we can see just basecoats, but see the pattern on the fist. That's going to be a nice Gold.
Some nice details that I added myself to this model.
Although SOME of the Wolf Guard Battle Leaders are based and converted from Lieutenant models, I am fairly sure that this guy was just an Intercessor which I then modded and made look awesome.
Then it was time for the Rune Priests!
Again, 2x Firstborn and 1x Primaris but the three of them use the same Datasheet now and have exactly the same abilities
The centre Rune Priest is modified from the Space Wolves Combat Patrol Lieutenant.
For their Force Weapons, I decided on one Blue, one Red and one Green for the rule of cool!
And there we have it! That is what I spent my time on today!
That and watching anime with the boys!

I'm jealous of those who can paint miniatures - it is such a cool hobby imo! I wish I have some artistic talent tho, I feel like I'm just gonna do a real bad job and waste all those miniatures lol.
That painted Wolf Guard Battle Leader looks cool!
Thank you!
You can't hurt a miniature with paint! You can paint and if it is not right, one can always remove the paint if needed! 🙏
I see! I will check the hobby shops for supplies and look for miniatures for the games that I play. Thanks!😊
Awesome! Good luck and tag me in when you find something!
