Making an income posting pictures. My cat... where else could you do this?
Other than Hive, where else could you do this?
Feasibly there is nowhere on the internet that I know that you can do what you can do on Hive!
I find it difficult to put it into words for “normal” people to understand. Regular folk all using their social media to share memes and articles. Who read and are influenced by all the marketing and sensationalism to keep you scrolling on the platform.
But then I realized… there is VERY little on my feed that is from another human being. Very little has to do with REAL life. It’s mostly rubbish.
After nearly 3 years of being on Hive I have been spoilt with the concept and content of being rewarded for my time and attention and also being rewarded for… well… anything!
Blog about my hobby? Rewarding!
Blog about my cat? Rewarding!
Btw… here is a picture of our one cat… which will be the thumbnail of this post!
Blog about a road trip, a meal, gardening, singing, sights you saw, shadows on the ground, thoughts in your head. Your own fictional stories, or stories from your experiences, or even rants that are about what is bothering you right here and now.
Then engage with those posts – rewarding.
Reply to engagement – rewarding.
And this is why I am not on Facebook much… I understand how good that algorithm is and if I did go there, then it has the potential to suck me in and make me scroll like a zombie.
But I realized that there is just so little content on there that is real that is the thing that snaps me out of it.
I wish more people could share in Hive’s freedom!

Let’s see how many votes this posts can grab in a day, as an experiment, without trying to boost or advertise this post to get more upvotes.
And then show the people on Facebook that it does not take much to get started.

The real question is how to de-zombify the zombies. 😀 Or perhaps use them. If they are determined to be sheep, let them come over here, scroll through like zombies, consume content (braaains.... I mean connntteeeent...) and upvote those of us who can be bothered to be creative here
I'd like to promote the concept of increasing the amount of content consumers there are on Hive...
Perhaps the angle we could go for is that it's the lowest effort type of involvement, but still needs at least a couple of minutes a day.
For people only curating and not creating, we'd need to create a realistic expectation that they might need to invest some money (because that sets their vote value), but that the rate of return is significantly better than they'd get from a traditional savings account.
The thing I still don't get is how many current Hivers don't curate or set up an automated curation trail. They're literally leaving money on the table !
Indeed. Most of Hivers are not using that rewards pool for themselves... a decent part of the education is missing there!
That’s indeed a fact! On Facebook and the likes, people share stupid things to earn, not but what they think is an ego-boost, until they realize it isn’t even that.
Over here, you get all that, plus you get paid!
