[ESP-ENG] A new stage called PRIMARY ✨

¡Hola Motherhood! Que grato conversar con todos ustedes madres, padres, familias que ya han vivido esta etapa con los más pequeños de la casa, por lo que me gustaría debatir sobre esta incógnita que me tiene dando vueltas.
El año pasado 2022 mi hija Adriana se graduó del Nivel Inicial (Preescolar) para 1er grado de Primaria, el 20 de marzo comenzó esta nueva etapa de la cual es muy hermosa ya que son los primeros pasos para aprender a leer y escribir.

How nice to talk with all of you mothers, fathers, families who have already experienced this stage with the little ones in the house, so I would like to discuss this unknown that has me thinking. Last year 2022 my daughter Adriana graduated from Initial Level (Preschool) for 1st grade of Primary, on March 20 this new stage began, which is very beautiful since they are the first steps to learn to read and write.

En Verano Adriana estuvo en un pequeño taller de la cual hizo algunos reforzamientos pero me di cuenta que para leer aún no, acá en Perú se inscriben en base a la edad que tengan pero hasta cierta fecha (antes de finales de marzo si no me equivoco), de la cual en inicial del año pasado ya Adriana tenía 6 años (por cumplir en Mayo).
Y esto me hizo pensar en lo siguiente ¿Los niños ya deben saber leer y escribir en 1er Grado?, por supuesto actualmente ya Adriana comenzó a hacer ejercicios con caligrafía e identifica palabras, sobre todo la lectura visual lo hace estupendamente, pero acá algunos quieren que sus hijas sean más aceleradas en cuanto a aprendizaje es decir les enseñan en casa para que estén más preparadas, y esto está genial pero con Adriana me costo bastante quizás requería otras herramientas para aprender mejor.

In Summer Adriana was in a small workshop from which she did some reinforcement but I realized that not yet to read, here in Peru they enroll based on their age but until a certain date (before the end of March if not I'm wrong), of which Adriana was 6 years old at the beginning of last year (to be fulfilled in May).
And this made me think about the following Should children already know how to read and write in 1st Grade?, of course Adriana has already started doing exercises with calligraphy and identifies words, especially visual reading she does great, But here some want their daughters to be more accelerated in terms of learning, that is, they teach them at home so that they are more prepared, and this is great, but with Adriana it cost me a lot, perhaps she needed other tools to learn better.

Los niños y las niñas tienen un ritmo diferente, quizás para leer y escribir es más difícil, pero para arte hacen maravillas (cómo es el caso de mi hija) porque cada persona tiene sus habilidades innatas, de lo cual soy una madre que particularmente ayudaré en el proceso de aprendizaje pero a su ritmo, actualmente está más ágil con ciertas palabras al momento de leer, pero a inicios de clases tenía esa preocupación al escuchar a otras mamás decir “mi hija aprendió en verano ya lee y escribe sola”, de alguna manera esto me generó un poco de presión social de manera indirecta.

Boys and girls have a different rhythm, perhaps for reading and writing it is more difficult, but for art they do wonders (as is the case with my daughter) because each person has their innate abilities, of which I am a mother that I will particularly help in the learning process but at her own pace, she is currently more agile with certain words when reading, but at the beginning of classes she had that concern when she heard other mothers say "my daughter learned to read and write on her own in the summer”, somehow this generated a bit of social pressure on me in an indirect way.

Por ello como madres o padres, entendemos el ritmo de nuestros hijos (a algunos les funciona ser más rápidos y a otros les funciona ser más pausados al aprender), por eso no hay que preocuparse no hay que llenarlos de prejuicios a los niños y niñas, porque en definitiva el proceso de aprendizaje es muy distinto para cada uno.
