For my unerasable love
With celestial lights as my quill and ink that night,
Upon the dark canvas her name I did trace.
My love did inspire such a heartfelt flight
That mountains I'd move her favor to gain grace.
But now as she leaves me, I ruefully ponder
If the shores shifting sand would have sufficed.
There her name could be wiped, this pain made more blunt,
Not like the stars that forever entwine in their binds.
How cruel fate that the skies her name should emboss
When distance now forms 'tween her soul and my own.
These lights that once guided, their guidance now loss,
No salve can be found as I weep here alone.
Glow ever on bright stars, yet curse you for true,
For my unerasable love etched in you.
