A Vision Waits
Image
Some sunlit day, in place close yet unknown,
A vision fair will come, my fancy's prize;
The dream I've nursed, now distant and alone,
Will pay these yearning heart its glad surprise.
What form it takes I cannot quite descry,
Through mist of hopes and wishes vague revealed;
A shape half-glimpsed, fleet figure passing by,
In shapeshifting shadows veiled, implied, concealed.
Yet deep within my inmost soul I sense
Its nearness moves with each day's passing hour;
Draws nigh that wonder's sweet magnificence
So I'll keep watchful vigil, dreams in tow,
Trusting Fate's design and Seasons' gentle flow.
