How do I stop this Thing?

source

Greetings, my Asean HIve friends, and to wherever this pod t of mine may reach. I hope you are well and happy.

Before I start with my post, have you ever ridden on a double-decker bus?

One of the bus companies in my place has this pride, and as long as I remember @junebride even wished on riding it when she and her husband visited Bukidnon but the bus was not available at that time.

On April 11, Tuesday, I was waiting for a ride to my workplace. We have this bustop where busses were forbidden to stop and we had to walk a few more meters to wait for them.
I only had a few minutes left of time before I get late and I was anxiously waiting for a ride. Oh, I really hate the deduction system; If We get late for a minute, we will be deducted equivalent to 1.5 hours on ur pay and the successive minutes have another deduction also.

Gladly, this double-decker bus stopped. The passengers who waited claimed up, but I was hesitant; I don't know how much they charge yet but when I asked the conductor, he said it will be just 20 pesos, a little less than half of a US dollar.

When I claimed up, the conductor said we have to take the seats on above, so I did. I took teh vacant seat I first saw, and a man was beside me. We never spake a word, it's not just so me.

I took my time taking pictures of the environment and observed on how things goes.
Here are my captures:

The floor is lit with an LED light for the passengers to walk safely, especially at night; there are CCTV cameras installed for security reasons. The front (where the rear view mirror should be) contains information about the time and how fast we were going. On my very short trip, the bus ran the fastest at 62 kilometers per hour.

The seats can be reclined; truly built for long rides. They are pretty wide too, very comfortable to sit at.

These are my feet

The driver is in the lower deck then I started to worry; one major question popped up in my mind "

How do I stop this thing?

I am just a few meters from my stop and I worry because t eh conductor didn't go up to collect my fare. But when he went, I gave him the money and he then instructed me to press the red button above my head.

Phew! What a relief! I thought I had to yell down to the driver or I might have to climb down the stairs to tell him to hit the brakes, haha!

I was laughing at myself for being so ignorant about the bus, but well, we all have our first times, don't we? And the majority of first times, we are not that good.

I had quite a wild adventure and I told my co-workers about it and when I told my husband and my nephew and my mother, they were all laughing at me because I pointed out that stopping the bus was my greatest problem. They imagined me missing my stop and I would reach te city and I ll be more problematic about how would I go back. We had lots of laughs, and we had fun about my experience but at least I told them they only had to p[ress the button when they need to stop, just in case they will be able to ride on one.

Such things happen, I won't forget my very first experience with the double -decker bus and I will treasure it.

What about you guys, do you have funny first-time moments too? Have you had funny experiences on a public ride?
I'd be excited to read them in the comments section.

This will be all for now, thank you so much for your time and I'll see you all around

Ahhh, that is freaking cool. We have no double-decker buses here in Elyu yet, sis, but I experienced them a few times when I visited Hong Kong a few years back.
