Cómo fue || How it happened
One of the singers who has had the greatest influence on the most outstanding salsa singers was the Cuban Benny Moré, who had an extraordinary musicality and who became a hallmark and a school for many lovers of Cuban and Latin music in general.
The song I sing today was popularized by this singer, accompanied by the orchestra of Ernesto Duarte Brito, who is also the composer of the song.
One of the things I enjoy most about Benny's repertoire is that most of his production was made for the Big Band format, which gives it an exceptional and characteristic sound, which is the same that I present to you today.
This is my participation in the Hive Open Mic, week 122.
Uno de los cantantes que mayor influencia ha tenido sobre los más destacados cantantes de salsa, fue el cubano Benny Moré, quien tenía una musicalidad extraordinaria y que se convirtió en un sello y una escuela para muchos amantes de la música cubana y latina en general.
El tema que canto yo hoy fue popularizado por este cantante, acompañado de la orquesta de Ernesto Duarte Brito, quien es también el compositor de la canción.
Una de las cosas que más disfruto del repertorio del Benny, es que la mayor parte de su producción fue hecha para el formato de Big Band, lo que le da un sonido excepcional y característico, que es el mismo que les presento hoy.
