Forrest Gump Suite - Alan Silvestri (Cover) by @yisusth

It is a pleasure to share again in this beautiful #Music community. I share with you my trumpet interpretation of "Forrest Gump Suite" by Alan Silvestri. The suite was composed for the film Forrest Gump (1994), directed by Robert Zemeckis. It functions as a leitmotif for the main character of the film and conveys thoughts and feelings of purity, perseverance, and nostalgia. The melody is minimalist and moving, innocent, but determined. This musical piece begins on piano, growing to a forte at the climax. I love this film because it addresses different aspects of American history. Phrases like "Run, Forrest, run" or "Life is like a box of chocolates" are iconic and part of the collective imagination. I think I've seen it more than 10 times, and undoubtedly my favorite character is the one played by Tom Hanks. I also consider Jenny Curran to be the toxic character in the film, but at the same time a victim of the counterculture.

Este funciona como un leitmotif del personaje principal de la película y transmite pensamientos y sentimientos de pureza, perseverancia y nostalgia. La melodía es minimalista y conmovedora, inocente, pero con determinación. Esta pieza musical inicia en piano, creciendo hasta un forte en el clímax. Me encanta esta película, porque aborda diferentes aspectos de la historia estadounidense. Las frases como "Corre, Forrest, corre" o "La vida es como una caja de chocolates" son icónicas y son parte del imaginario colectivo. Creo que la he visto más de 10 veces e indudablemente mi personaje favorito es el encarnado por Tom Hanks. Considero también que Jenny Curran es el personaje tóxico de la película, pero a su vez víctima de la contracultura.
