InkTober Day 10 - Remote
I am playing man v machine for #inktober .
I produced the drawing of a man operating a remote control drone before the day ended.
I was having a bear of a time with my dip pen; so I decided to upgrade to a fountain pen. I suspect that the pen was made in the 1960s. These were the pens everyone used before Bic flooded the world with ball point pens.
The cartridge in the middle of picture goes in the pen. Just be careful not to leave it with the cap off in your shirt pocket as it will ruin the shirt.
I very lightly sketched the guy holding the remote an a drone. The drawing is so light you can't see it!
The action on this fountain pen was much faster than I anticipated. I started a scribbling motion and drew all of the lines in the second picture in less than a minute.
The pen was going so fast that I lost complete control of the drawing and totally messed up the man's face.
The saturation of the image is really lacking. The picture sitting by my computer is much darker than the image on the page.
I want to upload the image to nightcafe for some polishing; So I decided to add a little dimension to the image with a pencil.
I wanted to create an AI enhanced version of the image. Nightcafe created an unappealing monochrome sketch from the above image. I slammed some PrimsaColor on the page to give the AI some info on suggested color. This is my drawing with the prismacolor:
This is the AI enhanced image:
The AI enhanced drawing actually looks like a person flying a drone.
To add insult to injury. I asked Night Cafe to create the image of a girl flying a drone. It popped out the following image which is better than anything I could create:
