El tema planteado es: Todo el mundo conoce el viejo dicho... "La hierba siempre es más verde al otro lado de la valla". Es decir... sólo porque "parezca" que alguien lo tiene mejor, no significa que sea así!

The topic raised is: Everyone knows the old saying.... "The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence". I mean... just because it "looks" like someone else has it better, doesn't mean it is!
Muchas veces se nos va la vida pendiente de lo que tienen los demás, que ni nos damos cuenta de lo que tenemos nosotros, y, esto muchas veces nos hace llenarnos de envidia, pero, no nos detenemos a pensar que tal vez lo que el otro tiene es porque se lo ha ganado, le ha costado esfuerzo, y tiempo invertido, pero, como no vemos el proceso sino el resultado, es por eso que pensamos así!
Contentos, pero no conformista!
Creo que es algo que debemos aplicar, esto lo dice la Biblia: contentos con lo que tenéis ahora, creo, que ese es el secreto de la felicidad, si me tomo el tiempo de disfrutar lo que tengo ahora aunque sea poco, y trabajo por lograr una meta! A lo mejor quiero un carro, pero, tengo una bicicleta 🚲, en lugar de ver el carro del otro, disfruto mi bicicleta, viéndole el lado positivo, por lo menos no ando a pie 👣, no tengo que pagar gasolina ⛽,😁, no pago pasaje, y voy ahorrando para mi carro!
No te dejes llevar por la apariencia!
Puede suceder también que el otro césped sea artificial, o, está así porque cuando llegó a esa casa 🏠, ya estaba ahí, no lo trabajaron, no les costó esfuerzo, y, nada cómo ganarse las cosas por uno mismo, a veces deseamos lo que hay del otro lado porque en apariencia se ve bien, pero, resulta que la realidad es otra, recordemos el dicho que dice: no todo lo que brilla es oro 🥇!
Para concluir recuerdo un cuento que escuche de niña, de unos pollitos que vivían de un lado, y la situación estaba difícil, así que decidieron enviar uno de ellos a buscar comida al otro lado, cuando el pollito 🐤 cruzo, y regresó los demás le preguntaron cómo están por allá, a lo que esté responde: pior, pior, pior!😁
Otra caso que pudiera aplicarse es por ejemplo ves a alguien muy bien vestido, pero, resulta que esa ropa no es de él, es prestada!
Por eso es importante vivir agradecido con lo que tenemos, sin envidiar lo ajeno!

Estuve pendiente de venir a comentar tu post, y con el internet intermitente y luego el apagón nacional, no fue posible.
Me encanta tu analogía del césped artificial o de que el césped ya estaba listo, verde y hermoso cuando llegaron los vecinos al jardín. Excelente ejemplo, como también el de los pollitos, jajajajajaja.
Y ciertamente, nada mejor que agradecer y estar pendiente del césped propio.
