It's my son's first day of school: A new journey for me and my son.
Hello lovely hivers and hello mother community. I hope you are all doing great today 🌸
Today is the first day of school here in the Philippines and it's also my son's first time to enter as a preschool. As a first time mom who has no idea of what will going to happened I just enjoyed this new journey and I told my son to enjoy it too.
The place where the daycare will learn is in our baranggay hall. There are more than 50 daycare students and it was divided into half. There will be a morning and afternoon schedule. The schedule of my son and my niece is morning and the classes started at 9:00 AM
Making an adjustment.
I woke up 7:00 AM to have my coffee and also prepare for the breakfast. I am not really waking up that early but I need to do it. I can really feel being a mom now who has a student. After I prepare the breakfast I drink my coffee and wait my son to wake up but when he didn't wake up I will wake him up at 7:40 AM.
I fried some eggs and rice and that's his breakfast. He take a bath at 8:20 AM and at 8:50 AM we are ready to go. The baranggay hall is near on our house like a 3 minutes walk time.
They are not required to wear a uniform for now as their face to face classes is only twice a week but you can also wear a uniform if you want.
It's learning time!
It's 9:02 AM when we reach the baranggay hall and we saw the parents and the kids waiting in the covered court. We also waited there until the teacher gave an instructions.
After a couple of minutes we already entered the room and the kids already place themselves on the learning station while the parents were on the side as a guide. Since it's a first day of school the teacher allowed us inside the room but after a month we are not allowed anymore and we will just wait outside.
The teacher has no instruction yet on what to do and my son was bored and he just draw on the paper while waiting. My son is not listening attentively to the teacher and didn't raise his hands when the teacher called his name but I know it's fine because it's just the first day.
They also dance and I'm glad that my son dance and follow their teacher. I am just a glad mother that time as I know that my son is listening. He is not into dancing like other kids that's why I'm happy because he dance together with his classmates.
They also had an activity which is raising the different color of crayons and he participated on it. I told him to participate because his teacher will give him some stars.
After that they had an activity which is drawing a spiral using a red crayon and the teacher look at them one by one. I'm glad that my son did it. It was unexpected because my son is not yet used on holding a pencil.
3 hours has passed and the classes ended. They will go back on Wednesday for another set of face to face class.
He got 4 stars and he told me that he will going to show it to his Papa.
As a first time mom I don't know what to feel now. I am happy and pressured for the responsibility of guiding my son to his new journey.
I am pressured as a mom but I will never pressure my son. I will be happy for his achievement and milestone even if its big or small. As a parent I will give my full support to him but it's just support and not always helping him as I want him to be independent and discover himself without my help. Just my support for encouragement.

I may not understand the emotions you felt seeing your son in class because I'm not a mother myself but I know you're so happy.
Cute ng baby mo! Active in participation naman pala sya kahit na d nakinig sa teacher. 😅

Nung una di sya nakikinig. Medyo struggle talaga sya when it comes on noisy environment Kasi weakness nya yon. Same as me ayaw ko ng magulo pero Sana maovercome nya ðŸ¤
