Tenía una semana comiendo pescado rebozado o frito y pensando en mi dieta me dije a mi misma… no puedo seguir comiendo fritos!! así que se me ocurrió hacer esta receta sencilla, fácil de hacer, muy rica y super fresca… Ceviche con leche de Tigre. Con cuatro sencillos ingredientes y pescado, podrán hacer este nutritivo manjar.

I had been eating battered or fried fish for a week and thinking about my diet I said to myself... I can't keep eating fried fish!!! so I came up with this simple recipe, easy to make, very tasty and super fresh... Ceviche with leche de Tigre. With four simple ingredients and fish, you can make this nutritious delicacy.

Ingredientes para esta receta:

½ kilo de pescado
3 ajíes picantes
60 gramos de cilantro (Coriandrum sativum)
1 Cebolla morada
6 Limones Lima o caipirinha
Sal y pimienta al gusto
4 Hojas de lechuga para emplatar

Ingredients for this recipe:

½ kilo of fish
3 hot peppers
60 grams of coriander (Coriandrum sativum)
1 purple onion
6 lemons Lime or caipirinha
Salt and pepper to taste
4 Lettuce leaves for plating

Preparación del cocinado con jugo de limón del Ceviche con leche de tigre:

1.- Se pica el pescado en dados
2.- Se exprimen los limones
3.- Se coloca el pescado en un bowl y le agregas el jugo de limón, impregnándolo completamente con este
4.- Tapas el bowl con el pescado impregnado en el jugo de limón con un papel film y colocas el bowl en la nevera por 20 minutos, es mi caso porque mi pescado estaba en filetes delgados y estaba congelado. Ojo… si el pescado está fresco y es grueso el corte, debe estar impregnado con el jugo de limón no menos de 3 horas.

1.- Chop the fish into cubes.
2.- Squeeze the lemons.
3.- Place the fish in a bowl and add the lemon juice, impregnating it completely with the lemon juice.
4.- Cover the bowl with the fish impregnated in the lemon juice with plastic wrap and place the bowl in the refrigerator for 20 minutes, in my case because my fish was in thin fillets and was frozen. Note... if the fish is fresh and the cut is thick, it must be soaked in the lemon juice for at least 3 hours.

Preparation of the chopped vegetables and preparation of the Tiger's milk:
1.- While the ceviche is in the refrigerator, wash and prepare all the vegetables that you are going to chop.
2.- Chop all the vegetables (red onion, cilantro and hot peppers) in strips (julienne, feathers) not in squares because it is a Ceviche and not a pico de gallo...
3.- Add the chopped vegetables to the bowl where the fish is, mix and season to taste with salt and pepper.
4.- Take the third part of the result of this preparation, put it in the blender and blend until only a broth is left. This is the Tiger's milk.
5.- Take some lettuce leaves and prepare a bed to place your ceviche, add the leche de Tigre on top and garnish with chopped cilantro.
6.- Accompany my ceviche with baked sweet potato, you can use fried yucca, sautéed potatoes or with some delicious patacones.

Preparación del corte de vegetales y preparación de la leche de Tigre:
1.- Mientras el ceviche está en la heladera, vas lavando y preparando todos los vegetales que vas a picar
2.- Picas todos los vegetales (cebolla morada, cilantro y ajíes picantes) en tiras (juliana, plumitas) no en cuadritos porque es Ceviche y no un pico de gallo…
3.- Agregas los vegetales picados al bowl donde está el pescado, mezclas y aderezas a tu gusto con la sal y pimienta.
4.- Tomas la tercera parte del resultado de esta preparación, la pones en la licuadora y licuas hasta que solamente quede un caldo. Esta es la leche de Tigre.
5.- Tomas unas hojas de lechuga y preparas una cama para colocar tu ceviche, le agregas por encima la leche de Tigre y adornas con cilantro picadito.
6.- Acompañé mi ceviche con batata horneada, puedes usar yuca frita, papas salcochadas o con unos ricos patacones.
