Horror films have brought us countless stories, from urban legends to paranormal events, varied in many ways, with anecdotes that mix real and fictitious facts. Greetings movie lovers, today I come to talk about the South Korean film "The Divine Fury", where horror is mixed with action and suspense.
To be honest, the horror genre is not one of my favorites, rather I often avoid them, but, while surfing the internet in search of entertainment, I came across this film, which has Park Seo-joon as the protagonist, which I have seen in several interpretations and he has done very well, so I reason to give it a chance to see it.

Synopsis…
Yong-ho is a martial arts champion, who was formerly a Christian, but, after the death of his father when he was still a child, he lost faith in God. After a few years later, he is plagued by evil, driving him to negative thoughts and actions, however, he obtains divine powers, developed in a wound in his palm, known as Stigmata, for those who do not know they are signs that manifest in the body, simulating the wounds that Jesus of Nazareth had during his crucifixion.
This event will lead him to meet the Ahn, a Vatican exorcist who has the mission to put an end to the dark bishop, the one who invokes demons and possesses people, causing disasters in the human world.
Will Yong-ho join forces with exorcist Ahn to put an end to evil? What powers does his palm hold? What is behind his father's accident?
Personal opinion…
As I said, I'm not a fan of the horror genre, however, this film doesn't give you a heart attack terror, or the gory scenes are more gory than the personal development. I feel it mixes action with action very well, plus intriguing suspense and well staged tense moments that make you want to know what else will happen.
I don't know if it's because I watched a lot of the supernatural series that the horror scenes didn't scare me that much, although there is a reasonable quality in it, it can't be denied. The cast of actors who star in it also gives a considerable contribution to it, they are quite well involved in the development of their characters.
Positive points…
A script that keeps you interested; it unites a little bit of everything and doesn't overwhelm you with the genre in question, plus it has elements that have not been seen in other similar films. It builds the characters adequately where it can give you more depth in the story and at other times not, to play with drama and emotions.
Negative points…
It is not a very original story in certain points, let's not say that it is complete because it brings to the screen certain events that have not been seen in films of the same style.

Las cintas de terror nos han traído un sinfín de historias, desde leyendas urbanas hasta sucesos paranormales, variados en muchos sentidos, con anécdotas que van mezclando hechos reales con ficticios. Saludos amantes de las películas, el día de hoy les vengo a hablar sobre la película surcoreana “The Divine Fury”, donde el terror se mezcla con la acción y el suspenso.
Siendo sincera, el género de terror no es de mis favoritas, más bien los esquivo con frecuencia, pero, al navegar por internet en busca de entretenimiento, me encontré con este filme, donde tiene como a protagonista a Park Seo-joon, el cual he visto en varias interpretaciones y lo ha hecho muy bien, por lo que motivo para darle una oportunidad de verla.

Estrenada en el año 2019, bajo la dirección de Jason Kim, ha obtenido como premio a mejor actor revelación en los “40th Golden Cinema film festival”.
Sinopsis…
Yong-ho es un campeón de las artes marciales, quién anteriormente era cristiano, pero, tras la muerte de su padre cuando aún era un niño, fue perdiendo la fe en Dios. Tras uno años más tarde, el mal lo asecha, impulsándolo a obtener pensamientos y acciones negativos, sin embargo, obtiene poderes divinos, desarrollado en una herida en su palma, conocidos como Estigmas, para los que no saben que son señales que se manifiestan en el cuerpo, simulando a las heridas que tuvo Jesús de Nazareth durante su crucifixión.
Este suceso lo hará conocer al Ahn, un exorcista del Vaticano quien tiene la misión de acabar con el obispo oscuro, aquel que invoca a los demonios y posean a las personas, causando a su vez desastres en el mundo humano.
¿Se unirá Yong-ho al exorcista Ahn para acabar con el mal? ¿Qué poderes son los que alberga su palma? ¿Qué habrá detrás del accidente de su padre?
Opinión personal…
Como he dicho, no soy fanática del género de terror, sin embargo, está cinta no te da un terror de eses que genere un infarto, o son más las escenas sangrientas que el desarrollo del personal. Siento que mezcla muy bien lo que es la acción con el mismo, además de un suspenso intrigante y momentos tensiones bien puestas en escena, que quieres saber que más pasará.
No sé si es porque vi mucho la serie sobrenatural que, las escenas de terror no me ocasionaron tanto miedo, aunque si hay una calidad razonable en la misma, no se puede negar. El elenco de actores que lo protagonizan también da un aporte considerable a la misma, se envuelven bastante bien en el desarrollo de sus personajes.
Puntos positivos…
Un guion que te mantiene en interés; une de todo un poco y no te agobia con el género en cuestión, además de que posee elementos que no se ha visto en otras cintas similares. Construye a los personajes adecuadamente donde te puede dar mayor profundidad en la historia y en otras ocasiones no, para jugar con el drama y las emociones.
Puntos negativos…
Es una historia no muy original en ciertos puntos, no digamos que completo porque si trae a la pantalla ciertos acontecimientos que no se ha visto en películas del mismo estilo.
