Cucurbita moschata sprouts
Good morning, Hivers!
Welcome to my first post in the AN Community!
On one of my frequent walks (a habit I got into when the pandemic started, more than three years ago now...) I came across the delicacy and simplicity of this young sprout of a zucchini that was hanging over the road in a private garden. It's almost imperceptible at first glance how many micro villi give the stems of this delicate structure an almost hydrophobic property!
The veins that run along the initially wrinkled leaves show their full splendor when they open up to carry out photosynthesis and channel all that energy into fruiting.
The fact that it's in an urban location makes this little miracle even more attractive to observe and contemplate. It never fails to impress me with its simplicity and the power of nature.
I hope you enjoyed my first post in the community.
The photos are by me and were taken with a Samsung A40 cell phone (sorry if the quality wasn't what the moment and the importance demanded).
Thanks for your attention and time, and see you soon!
