Peer2Profit: Generate passive (crypto-) income by sharing up to 10% of your Internet bandwidth! (ENGLISH guide)
Hi HIVIANs,
when I was looking for passive income methods, I've found something interesting:
Peer2Profit
No matter if VPS, mobile device, PC, Raspberry Pi or a server - you can earn a passive (crypto-) income by sharing a small part of your Internet bandwidth - the more devices you set up, the more you earn, depending on your location!
Let me quote their statement on the FAQ section on their website:
This is a unique system where you make money sharing your Internet. You get paid for your bandwidth.
Most internet users take advantage of only 10% of the available capacity of their internet connection. Peer2Profit allows you to make money off the remaining capacity by providing it to advertisers, marketing agencies and analytics companies.
What is the traffic used for?
Peer2Profit users form a network for advertisers who use it for open source data collection, market research, social media account management, SEO set up, and ad verification.
Advertisers pay us for using the network, and we pay our users.
So for my understanding, advertisers, market researchers, social media account managers and more need to use different IP addresses (from different locations!) to do their work.
They pay Peer2Profit and Peer2Profit pay it to its users.
"Why do third parties need my IP address?"
Companies use IP address and bandwidth to get information from the Internet. To collect the precise data they need many IP addresses. This method lets them understand how different users see the same page on the website.
There are a couple of main goals why companies use IP addresses:
- to check if the competitors’ products and content are original;
- to check advertisements placed by scammer marketers;
- to evaluate the search engines’ results for certain queries;
- to maintain a few social media communities or accounts;
- to collect prices from competitors' websites.
In todays world, market research and data research are indispensable.
Peer2Profit uses your bandwidth (and IP (location)) to check if competitors act fairly and to check search engine results for certain countries/locations.
Is Peer2Profit safe to use or should I be concerned on how my bandwidth is used?
According to their statement on their website:
Yes it is. We grant access only to those companies that are verified, identified and accepted the agreements.
Our numerous analytics systems can guarantee that the power of your router is used legally. We detect and block any violation in real time at the monitoring stage, so suspicious persons cannot connect to your IP address or device as you make money sharing your Internet.

- Raspberry Pi [residential]
Different network types generate different data traffic amounts and so different payouts.

Summary:
Peer2Profit is a cool and easy way to legally generate passive (crypto-) income without much effort (just set everything up once and check).
I will let it run for a few months and HODL the paid out cryptos for a few years.
Maybe they are worth a holiday trip (or even a house) one day ... 😇
Here is a short video for better understanding:

Interesting, but how ethical are these companies who want the information?
Yeah that's a good question!
This is a quote from their FAQ section:
There are many companies of this type, including Honeygain, Mysterium network and others. This, market is very new and still evolving. Keep an eye on it, but be careful of scam apps and projects. Have a nice weekend!!!
Thank you for the suggestions!
I will take a look at them :)
Do you use any of these for yourself?
Thank you! I hope you had a good weekend as well! 😇
Honeygain seems to be okay, but very low pay, you could try mysterium network, you have to pay 1 dollar to validate the wallet, and thn you can run the node, peer2profit is great, but again the wages are not much. You could try ARweave node. They're much reliable but you need good hardware specs to run them.
Have you ever withdraw money from the platform? How fast were the earnings?
