Aunt Roberta loved to knit and she had lost her crochet hook. She couldn't find it, she searched everywhere and it was useless. She was very forgetful and was beginning to show symptoms of Alzheimer's. On several occasions she had misplaced objects and could not remember where she had left them and what she used them for. Days went by and everyone who came to the house asked her if she had left her crochet hook at home.

I was so worried that I wanted Aunt Roberta to find what she was looking for. I set out one day to search the whole house to see if I could find it, she was very happy to see my gesture of solidarity with her for the loss of her fabric. I started looking in the upper floor of the house. Then I went to the bedrooms and could not find what I was looking for. The last thing I checked was the storage room. There was a single bed stored there when I bent down to look under the bed I saw a bag on the floor. I immediately remembered that the bag belonged to the aunt. I took it in my hands and searched it. Sure enough, there was Aunt Roberta's crochet hook and knitting. I didn't give it to her right away because she was taking a nap. After she got up she was sitting in an armchair in the living room. I joined her for a cup of coffee. I noticed she was very sad. And she said to me: -I will have to buy another crochet hook and another thread. I still don't remember where I left it. Estaba una cama individual allí guardada cuando me agaché para mirar por debajo de la cama vi una bolsa en el piso. Recuerdo de inmediato que esa bolsa era de la tía. La tomé entre mis manos y la registre. Efectivamente estaba el gancho de crochet y el tejido de la tía Roberta. No se lo entregue al momento porque estaba descansando la siesta. Luego que se levantó estaba sentada en un sillón en la sala de estar. La acompañe a tomar un cafe. La note muy triste. Y me dijo: -tendré que comprar otro gancho de crochet y otro hilo. Aun no recuerdo donde lo deje. De pronto le saque la bolsa y enseguida me dijo: -ahora si recuerdo allí está mi tejido. Se lo entregue y me abrazó y me dio un beso en la mejilla y me dijo: -gracias sobrino.
