Finally Finished Watching 300+ Episodes Of Bleach: My Thoughts And Some Memories
Someone from Hive recommended watching Bleach because it's popular and I may find it nice. I forgot who he/she was though, my bad, sorry! So I finally gave in last year and started watching the series.
I think I started watching during the Winter holidays last December because I thought I'd have time. Before Hive, I spend my free time watching animes, including the animes with a lot of episodes. Bleach was already on that very long list but after joining Hive, my free time became limited. So it took me almost 4 months to finish watching the entire series of Bleach, including the season they just released last year.

It's an old anime, from 2004 to 2012. The newest season was released in October last year. 2012 to 2022. That's a decade of hiatus!
I remembered during my cosplay era some of my friends and acquaintances would cosplay Bleach characters. I never knew the anime back then, but I know the name because it was the talk of the town. I even cosplayed one of the main characters from the anime even though I haven't watched a single episode of it. 😆
! [Do not click hehe]
It was so hard to find an old photo of me cosplaying Rukia but I found this one after searching random photos
The date in the photo is wrong. At that time, we still didn't know how to configure the camera's date and time settings. LOL
So what do I think of Bleach?
The first few episodes were fun. It was interesting for me because it involved some action scenes and the supernatural. I like this kind of genre in anime so after one episode, I'd continue watching until I didn't realize I'd been binge-watching it for the entire day/night.
Honestly, I don't know the correct list of seasons of this anime but I've grouped them. If you have watched it or are watching it, you'll probably understand me.
warning: some spoilers ahead
The first season was great. You know, those introductions, how one obtains powers, etc. The main character is Kurosaki Ichigo, a human who obtained shinigami (soul reaper in English) powers from Rukia, a shinigami and another main character. The shinigami and the Soul Society were introduced. It got more intense when Rukia was taken back to Soul Society and was imprisoned there, sentenced to death. Ichigo felt indebted to her and had to rescue her, leaving the human world to go to Soul Society. Many characters: humans and non-humans have helped Ichigo in his mission.

After the rescue season was the start of my getting bored. The next seasons were about the Bounts. They're humans that obtained special powers and they can live for a long time. The problem with them was they're "eating" souls, some of them from living humans. I would say that at first, it got me intrigued but later on, that feeling didn't really motivate me to watch as happily as I could.
The Arrancar season was a bit okay. It was fun to watch at first but this season was probably the longest and some scenes were dragging. I stopped watching Bleach for a few days or weeks just because I got so bored with this season. Don't be discouraged, it's just me. I just think they could speed things up and fight the boss right away.

Because the Arrancar season was very long, they had to insert another arc: The New Captain. Not a lot of episodes here so it was bearable to watch. The plot twist was epic as well.
To fully understand the Arrancar season, they had to insert the details from the past so there's this arc as well. I thought this would bore me again but apparently, I enjoyed this arc. The history of Soul Society was interesting because this was the time that Ichigo wasn't born yet and there were many familiar characters. The young version of the current captains was so fun to watch. You can see who's close to who.

Then, there's the Zanpakuto rebellion season. The intro to this arc was good and made me curious. Zanpakuto is the sword the soul reapers are using, it's like a part of their soul and now this blade has a body, thus this rebellion. The middle of this season somewhat made me take a break from watching because it was too cheesy but I hang in there and finished strong.

Finally, the anticipated big battle between the Soul Society vs Arrancar continued after all those intermissions. This battle got me hyped because I would see some characters' powers. I got tired of seeing the main characters' powers, there isn't much development there. If there was, probably a little. I enjoyed seeing new powers from the side characters and that made me interested in the anime again.

After the Arrancar season, I thought there would be no more episodes left to watch but apparently, there were still seasons left: the Invading Army and the Lost Substitute Shinigami. They're better for me especially, the Lost Substitute Shinigami. The twist on who the real enemy is was the best.
That's 2004 to 2012.
I didn't think there would be a day that I would finally be free of watching the old animation style of Bleach. 😁
The music by the way is so nostalgic. I know most songs but didn't realize they were from this anime.
The latest season: The Thousand Year Blood War was outstanding! Animation, story, fight scenes, graphics - they're all excellent for me! There were so many secrets that were revealed in this season. It's a cliffhanger now, I mean not really, but now I'm soooo looking forward to the next season.

The next season will be available in July this year.
My boyfriend caught me watching the latest season and he found it great as well so he added it to his watch list. I don't know though if it's good to watch the latest season because you might not understand who the characters are and what their history is but if you want to skip the very old Bleach, go ahead. All episodes of Bleach are already up on Netflix but only the latest season has English subtitles.
Overall, I say mixed feelings. There were many times I got tired of watching the anime but with this new season, everything has improved. I hope they keep it up so I won't get bored, and won't be disappointed in the future.
Thanks for reading!
See you around! じゃあ、またね!
All photos are not mine.
😭 Glad I'm not the only one who thought it was dragging till it reaches aizen 🥹
I didn't continue watching tho since Ichigo and Rukia wasnt the end game 😭
There's no "love story" end game. 😂 The focus isn't on that.
You should watch, at least the newest season.
I know, pero part nadin yon sa bakit ko gusto bleach eh, hahahaha

I also watched that series and I liked it a lot in its time, now I was watching a new season but I don't know what happened that they didn't continue with the season.
I'm an anime lover too.
There will be a new season coming in July, this is the continuation of the new season: Thousand Year Blood War. We should look forward with it.
Hoo I see. Thanks for the information.I can’t wait to looking forward to it.
Me too! So excited for what's next!
I also watching “Boruto the next generation “ do you like that too?
I haven't watched any of the Naruto series, that includes Boruto. Is it that good?
I'm watching the latest ones now, the ones for this season, they're pretty great.
Yes, it is one of my favorite, Naruto is very nice. And Boruto is something like Naruto but with the modern wold live
Yeaaah, my boyfriend is watching Boruto so sometimes I glanced at it but I'm not so totally into it. Maybe in the future when I have nothing to watch..? 😆
Are you into ninjas or action type of anime?
The action anime. I saw Tokyo ghoul too. If you like the action anime it is a good option too
I'm eagerly awaiting the next part of the Thousand Year Blood War on Netflix. This is an anime I'd started watching like a decade or so ago? I was so disappointed when Kubo retired due to health issues and that was the end of the TV series.
There's really a huge difference in quality now that the tech has improved. This is especially apparent whenever they do flashbacks during this latest part. 😱
!PIZZA
Modern times, modern measures. I didn't know that Kubo retired due to health issues, makes sense that it was a decade ago. I'm also waiting patiently for the next part! I like the new season already, it looks like a movie. 😁 So I'm expecting more from the continuation.

The time you input do not click here prompts us to click it even further witty haha Nice play on that!
Sooooo I haven't watched Bleach in subs, I just watched the series when it was aired in the Philippines and I find it interesting but not binge worthy. Manga is good btw and I enjoyed reading it and I think I just completed it in one week sitting ( yes di ako busy)
Animation-wise, I am good with it but then again I am more of a reading type of weeb rather than a watcher.
We're the opposite because I don't like to read the manga. If ever I want to read it in their original language because there are some words that are translated differently. That's why I don't like to read translated manga.
Actually in Bleach there are some seasons/arcs that are only available in the anime, not in the manga. So it's worth the watch.
Did you click? Not following instructions ka talaga TP, wag mo kasi i click 🤣
This! Haha the fillers that were created are the main reason why I don't like animes. Welp Bleach in general back then always leaves me in hanging yung maganda na yung kwento tapos biglang nag-iba ang istorya sa anime na walang pasabi haha.
I did! Kasi masunurin tayo.
I'm not a fan of Anime but my kid brother is, so i get to watch sometimes when I'm bored in my room and go over to his. Till Always watching Anime and reading mangas that boy😂
I will ask him about this Anime, looks kick ass🔥
Look at Witzu, all trim and pretty in her cosplay outfit🥰
I was a big fan of Yu Yu Hakusho back in the day so watching Bleach felt natural due to the similarities. The Arrancar Arc is very tough—I think I started reading the manga from there just because it felt quicker than the show. Thousand Year Blood Arc is, as you said, outstanding. What a way to come out of a hiatus.
You're not the only one who got bored mid way😭😂😂😂, mehn, the fillers where so much...
Lots of episodes that where just there for space and most of the arcs where mid as hell...
I'm like an anime monger so any anime that I'm watching, I download and keep.
I was watching bleach, but I got bored and left it for about 6-7 months😂😂😂
Lost a few episodes then I started back again.
Sometimes I think long anime's have such problems.
I'm currently chewing on One Piece, at episode 148 now and I can say that it hasn't had any dull episode yet😀😂💔
So you're done with one of the Big 3🌚
How do you feel?😂😂
Feeling any more learned in the anime world, sensei?
I still don't understand why it was so popular back then. There's a lot of fillers, and it's boring! Well, at least not everything. The story was just so slow-paced. But it's good, I mean, if they eliminate the unnecessary parts. Maybe we wouldn't get bored.
I like the new season of Bleach though. It's way better than the old one. I guess modern times, modern edits? 😄
One Piece?! Ohhh never a dull moment in that anime. I started watching from the beginning til the latest at that time before the pandemic happened. I couldn't get enough of it. I think if I'll be bored again, I'll be watching it again. There's an episode that I keep on rewatching til now, when they're in Water Seven. I forgot the episode number but that's the best episode for me before the Wano Kuni battle. 😊
What's the Big 3? I shall complete that. 🤣
Maybe I'll become a super saiyan after. 🤣
I would say there are some old anime that are still great til now, some are great on their prime years but not anymore now.
The Big 3 are the 3 best anime with longest episodes
Naruto. Bleach. One Piece ✨
Lots of old anime are still great now...
See Ruruoni Kenshin for example 😃
Ahhh Kenshin.. Well, I like it before, but haven't watched it yet with the original Japanese dubbing. So far, not yet in the mood to watch it.
Naruto.. I see. I don't know, maybe I won't watch Naruto but that's just my mood speaking. 😂 Who knows, maybe I'll watch it in the future.
Have you watched Gintama?
I haven't watched Gintama yet, but it's part of the watchlist 😂😂✨
