Group Study Sunday And Fun After
Yesterday was one of our weekly group study sessions. The routine is usually 2-3 hours of Japanese language study and then we would have fun after.
Messy table, oops!
We went to a cafe in Shinjuku called Caffice, as recommended by my friend. It was such a cozy place, perfect for study and a little work. They have wifi which I didn’t make use of, and even a LAN cable in case your laptop doesn’t have wifi. There were high chairs too perfect for the working adults and studious students, and of course tables for groups. It was almost the perfect spot to study and do laptop work except for the fact that there’s a seating/table fee included in the drinks. And you need to order at least one drink. It was a bit on the expensive side, more than 1,000 yen but it was okay because of the amenities of the cafe. Too bad I didn’t make use of it though.
I had my late lunch at Caffice, and good thing they have set meals, at least. I ordered Katsu Curry which was delicious but a regular portion. Not for someone who wants to eat a lot. I ordered Hazel Latte for drinks and it was normal, I even thought I had cafe latte.
The group study session was fast for me. We self study usually and when we have questions or some new discoveries, we share and talk as a group. It was fast for me because I think I learned some of the vocabulary I studied when studying for the previous exam. I’m starting to doubt the book but I’ll still continue with this book. I’ll also be probably studying using an app.
It was such a sleepy study session. We all were so sleepy but we persevered. In the middle though I got distracted by my phone. 😅
My friend wanted to eat so he had kebab nearby. He ate so fast I even forgot he ate. My friends accompanied me to a brand boutique to check on some stuff. And yes, my wallet was safe from shopping.
After some walking around Shinjuku, it was time to go to Ikebukuro to play darts. We’ve been playing darts weekly since we’ve started this hobby. 😅
We played darts at Round 1 Ikebukuro. It’s usually free time, meaning no time limit but it was crowded yesterday so they had to impose a 3 hour limit. It was okay though, we had enough. We had missions but I only accomplished one. It was hard to get a 0 in 01 games lately. My beginner’s luck has started to run out.
This poster was in the same floor as the darts section in Round 1. My girls! Can you recognize them? They’re from a romcom anime called Quintessential Quintuplets or Gotoubun No Hanayome. Last week the display was Haikyuu. 😅
We ended our night having a fancy dinner at TGI Fridays Ikebukuro. It was funny we were so hungry we ended up ordering one plate for each and one shareable. The staff at the restaurant might think we’re big eaters. 😂
We also discussed some things and that we might not have a group study session next week but we’ll see.
It was a fun Sunday but it’s so hot in Tokyo! Few minutes outside and I’m sweating terribly! Summer’s making me roasted. 😅 Please take extra care!
Thanks for reading!
じゃあ、またね! See you around!

It is great to have a place to study with others who are learning the same thing!
Japan is hotter than ever, so it is best to study in an air-conditioned room.
It's fun to share meals with friends.
I too am on the verge of summer fatigue. Let's both take care of ourselves.
it’s pretty hard to study when it’s very hot so yeah better to just stay indoors and enjoy the aircon.
it’s very very hot lately! take care of yourself!
