Family Things : A Freewrite

Talk about being family men, one thing could be worse than death - when you're unable to provide the basic things for your family and self, you become utterly reactional. I've seen family men around me become more aggressive recently. This is to tell you if push comes to shove, they'll go all out.

There's a Yorùbá saying "ikú yá j'ẹ̀sín" and the belief that they can't kill us all especially when there doesn't seem to be an escape.Love the fact you tagged this "Your bias". Most of these folks have been left to think towards the "get rich quick schemes" because they grew up seeing people who trusted and still trusting the process wallowing in abject poverty.

The only reason most Yorùbás keyed into education was because "Bàtà really sounded kokokà" in the past. These days how would a poor/unemployed graduate tell the upcoming generation education is the best legacy? What would he/she motivate em with? The certificate (just an A4 sized paper). The set up of the nation is what has positioned most of the upcoming generation towards the money by all means schemes.

You'd be shocked to know how many of em would troop out to say enough is enough when the time comes. These highlighted points are all facts but never you undermine the will and resilience of an hungry man. The greatest undoing of the government of the day would be subjecting the masses to hunger.

"ebi ń pamí, ọlọ́ṣẹ ń kiri. Ti inú ni màá kọ́ fọ̀ kí n tó fọ t'òde"

Let the hunger bite harder and then watch Nigerians go absolutely berserk. This time the fear of a bullet would not be able to deter Nigerians.
