Companies are mass adopting Blockchain! Are you falling behind?
A new study by CasperLabs reveals that, despite educational gaps, the adoption of Blockchain technology by companies in the United States, United Kingdom, and China will increase next year.
90% of companies are adopting Blockchain technology, according to data. The cryptocurrency and blockchain space had a turbulent year. However, that doesn't stop users and companies from being interested in the sector.
A new survey by CasperLabs and Zogby Analytics reveals that the adoption sentiment of blockchain is especially high among companies. The survey was conducted among 603 "decision-makers" from companies in the United States, United Kingdom, and China. According to the survey, nearly 90% of companies stated that they have implemented blockchain technology in some capacity, and 87% said they planned to invest in blockchain-based solutions next year. This sentiment is particularly strong in China, where over half of the surveyed plan to invest in blockchain in 2023.
Ralf Kubli, a member of the Casper Association board, stated that despite recent turmoil, companies are still turning to blockchain in search of solutions.
"It's hugely encouraging to see that companies understand that Blockchain technology is not competition, but a solution." Companies that are already using the technology benefit from two of its main capabilities: security (42%) and anti-counterfeiting (42%). While those that are based on IT operations use blockchain for things like internal workflow (40%), supply chain efficiency (34%), and software development (30%), among others.
Kubli commented that 2023 will be a transformative year for Blockchain technology adoption. "Especially in offering real solutions to real-world problems and creating long-term value."
However, an important finding was where business leaders fell short. Despite the majority feeling secure in their knowledge of Blockchain technology (73%), 54% of surveyed still consider the terms "blockchain" and "crypto" interchangeable.
