Elephants & Banana Food in An Elephant Camp

Let me tell you about an elephant camp that I visited on my vacation.

This elephant camp is located in Mandalay Region. It is located at the eastern foot of Dote Hta Waddi River in Pyin Oo Lwin Township.
The elephant camp is open to tourists on elephant rides and mountain views.
Riding an elephant costs 3,000 kyats per person.

If we want to feed their elephants, we have to buy and feed only the food that the herdsmen sell.
Tourists are not allowed to feed food outside the camp.

This is to make money from the sale of elephant feed to elephant herders and to prevent elephant food poisoning.

When we arrived at the elephant camp, it was hot in the afternoon so we did not have to ride.
When we were buying elephant feed, we have to pay 1000 kyats for 5 green bananas.

The price of bananas is huge.
Therefore, the seller was told to reduce the price so that the elephants could be fed more bananas.
As a result, we fed the elephants only a total of 15 bananas.

Elephants beg for food through their noses.
The amount of bananas we feed does not satisfy the hunger of elephants.

We came back from the elephant camp thinking that the herdsmen, who did not want to reduce the price of bananas, should feed them.

အပန်းဖြေခရီးထွက်ခဲ့တုန်းက ဝင်ရောက်ခဲ့တဲ့ ဆင်စခန်း အကြောင်း ပြောပါရစေ။

ဒီ ဆင်စခန်း သည် မန္တလေးတိုင်းဒေသကြီး၊ ပြင်ဦးလွင်မြို့နယ် ထဲက ဒုဌဝတီမြစ် ၏ အရှေ့ဘက် တောင်ခြေတစ်ခုမှာ တည်ရှိပါတယ်။
ဆင်စခန်း ကို ခရီးသွားဧည့်သည်တွေအား ဆင် စီးပြီး တောတောင်သဘာဝ ကြည့်ရှုရန် ဖွင့်လှစ်ထားခြင်း ဖြစ်ပါသည်။
ဆင် စီးရာ၌ လူတစ်ဦးလျှင် အခကြေးငွေ ၃၀၀၀ ကျပ် ပေးရပါမည်။

ဆင်များကို အစာ ကျွေးလိုလျှင် ဆင်ထိန်းများ ရောင်းချသော အစားအစာများကိုသာ ဝယ်ယူ၍ ကျွေးရပါမည်။
ဆင်စခန်း ပြင်ပမှ အစားအစာများကို ခရီးသွားဧည့်သည်များက ကျွေးလို့ မရပါ။

ဤသည်မှာ ဆင်ထိန်းများ ဆင်စာ ရောင်းချခြင်းမှ ဝင်ငွေ ရရှိရန် နှင့် ဆင်များ အစာ အဆိပ်အတောက် မဖြစ်စေရန် ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

ကျွန်တော်တို့ ဆင်စခန်း ရောက်တော့ နေ့လည်ခင်း နေပူချိန် ဖြစ်သောကြောင့် ဆင် မစီးခဲ့ရပါ။
ဆင် အစာ ကျွေးရန် ဝယ်ယူသောအခါ ငှက်ပျောသီးအစိမ်း ၅ လုံးကို 1000 ကျပ် ပေးရပါသည်။

ဆင်စာ ငှက်ပျောသီး ဈေးသည် ကြီးလှပေစွ။
သို့ဖြစ်ရာ ဆင်များကို ငှက်ပျောသီး များများ ကျွေးနိုင်ရန် ဈေးသည်အား ဈေးနှုန်း လျှော့ချပေးရန် ပြောသော်လည်း မရခဲ့ပါ။
သို့ဖြစ်၍ ကျွန်တော်တို့လည်း ဆင်များကို စုစုပေါင်း ငှက်ပျောသီး ၁၅ လုံး သာလျှင် ကျွေးဖြစ်ခဲ့ပါသည်။

ဆင်များသည်ကား အစာကို နှာမောင်းဖြင့် တောင်း၍ စားကြပါသည်။
ကျွန်တော်တို့ ကျွေးသော ငှက်ပျောသီး ပမာဏမှာ ဆင်များ အတွက် ဗိုက်ဆာပြေရန် မစွမ်းနိုင်ပါ။

‌ငှက်ပျောသီး ဈေးနှုန်း လျှော့မပေးသော ဆင်ထိန်းများ ကိုယ်တိုင်ပဲ ကျွေးကြပါစေတော့ဟု တွေးမြင်ကာဆင်စခန်း မှ ပြန်လာခဲ့ပါတော့သည်။
