Hatte vor Kurzem auch die Idee, dass Robotaxis vor allem in Situationen, wo die AI nicht mehr weiter weiß, von einem Kundenzentrum in Indien aus ferngesteuert werden könnten. Ein Mitarbeiter könnte mehrere Taxis betreuen und man könnte so Personalkosten einsparen. Aus Indien wäre aber die Latenz etwas zu langsam. Und falls es wirklich so eine Remote-Funktion gäbe, sollte diese gut vor Hacker geschützt sein.

I also recently had the idea that robot cabs could be remotely controlled by a customer center in India, especially in situations where the AI doesn't know what to do. One employee could look after several cabs and this could save on personnel costs. From India, the latency would be a little too slow, however. And if there really was such a remote-control function, it should be well protected against hackers.

Interessant, aber was ist wenn die Verbindung abbricht? Vorteil von selbstfahrenden oder ferngesteuerten LKWs ist, dass sie keine Pausen machen müssen.

Robotaxi from india is amazing 🤣

The idea of employees taking over when AI doesn't know what to do sounds interesting. I wonder how much sense it would actually make. I think the latency until the remote employee is able to take control over the car would probably be to long in many cases. The use of this would probably be limited to situations where the AI can just "park" the car until it is told what to do by an employee.
