Hello, I hope you are well, first of all let me tell you that I am very new to this content creation, I created my account on hive a few weeks ago, but while I was checking communities I found this one and I was absolutely amazed when reading the posts, since I feel like I am practically traveling, even without leaving my home, each landscape of each country is beautiful and shows the majesty of nature or man-made architecture. For that reason, today I decided to dare to write my first post for this community of travelers, showing you some photographs of my trip to the city of Puerto Cabello in my country, Venezuela.
Hola, espero que estén bien, ante todo déjenme decirles que soy muy nuevo en esto de la creación de contenido, abrí mi cuenta en hive hace unas pocas semanas, pero mientras revisaba comunidades encontré esta y quedé absolutamente maravillado al leer las publicaciones, ya que siento que prácticamente estoy viajando, aún sin salir de mi hogar, cada paisaje de cada país es precioso y muestran la majestuosidad de la naturaleza o la arquitectura hecha por el hombre. Por esa razón hoy decidí atreverme a escribir mi primer post para esta comunidad de viajeros, mostrándoles algunas fotografías de mi viaje a la ciudad de Puerto Cabello en mi país, Venezuela.
This beach is called Playa Sonrisa (Smile Beach), although it was formerly called Playa Blanca (White Beach), it is very close to the Puerto Cabello boardwalk and has almost no waves because the marina installed wave breakers
Esta playa se llama Playa Sonrisa, aunque antiguamente se llamaba Playa Blanca, está muy cerca del malecón de Puerto Cabello y casi no tiene oleaje porque la marina puso rompe olas
The sand is really white and soft and it also has many restaurants and food trucks so you can eat whatever you want, although what they sell the most is fish, of course.
La arena es realmente blanca y suave y además tiene muchos restaurantes y foodstruck para que puedas comer lo que quiras, aunque lo que más venden es pescado, desde luego
My wife and I spent a pleasant moment together and were pleasantly surprised by the intense turquoise color of the water that contrasted with the whiteness of the sand. However, once you are in the water it looks completely crystal clear and you can even distinguish some colorful fish. .
Mi esposa y yo pasamos un grato momento juntos y nos sorprendió gratamente el intenso color turquesa del agua que contrastaba con la blancura de la arena, sin embargo, una vez que estás dentro del agua se ve totalmente cristalina y además hasta puedes distinguir algunos peses coloridos.
Many people go there with their yachts and they really are beautiful, although it is not highly recommended to swim in that area (according to what we were told) because there may be traces of fuel or oil in the water.
Mucha gente va allí con sus yates y de verdad son hermosos, aunque no es muy recomendable nadar en esa zona (según lo que nos dijeron) porque puede haber restos de combustible o aceites en el agua.
Then we decided to take a walk through the city of Puerto Cabello, especially along the boardwalk and the historic center of the city. In this way we find the beautiful cathedral of San José
Luego decidimos dar un paseo por la ciudad de Puerto Cabello, sobre todo por el malecón y el centro historico de la ciudad. De esta manera encontramos la hermosa catedral de San José
The boardwalk is very beautiful and at the end (you can't see it very well in the photograph) is the Libertador castle, which was a prison in colonial times. Puerto Cabello is one of the most important ports in Venezuela.
El malecón es muy bello y allá al final, (no se puede distinguir muy bien en la fotografía) está el castillo de Libertador, el cual era una prisión en los tiempos de la colonia. Puerto Cabello es uno de los puertos más importantes de Venezuela.
We also went to see the famous Guipuzcoana house but unfortunately it was closed for repairs since it is a very old house, built in 1730, which housed the officers of the Royal Guipuzcoan Company of Spain, who sold cocoa (among other things). Cocoa was the main source of income for Venezuela at that time
También fuimos a ver la famosa casa Guipuzcoana pero lamentablemente estaba cerrada por reparaciones ya que es una casa muy antigua, construida en 1730, la cual hospedaba a los oficiales de la Real Compañía Guipuzcoana de España, los cuales comercializaban cacao (entre otras cosas) El Cacao era la principal fuente de ingreso para Venezuela en esa época
The historic center of the city is beautiful, with many picturesque houses painted in bright colors, they are colonial style, so in some way you feel that you are traveling to the past, to the time of independence.
El centro histórico de la ciudad es bellísimo, con muchas casas pintorescas pintadas de vivos colores, son de estilo colonial, así que de alguna forma sientes que estás viajando al pasado, a la época de la independencia.
This street is called "The Street of the Lancers" because (according to what we were told) General Páez (Procer of the country) passed through there with his army of lancers, triumphant, after having won the battle against the Spaniards who colonized the country. That bridge that you can see up there was formerly used to transport merchandise between the stores that existed at that time.
Esta calle se llama "La Calle de los lanceros" se llama así porque (según lo que nos contaron) por allí pasó el General Páez (Prócer de la patria) con su ejército de lanceros, triunfantes, luego de haber ganado la batalla contra los españoles que colonizaban el país. Ese puente que pueden ver allá arriba, antiguamente servía para transportar mercancía entre las tiendas que había en esa época.
