MARKET FRIDAY PURCHASE A SOLAR DEVICE TO GENERATE ELECTRICITY

avatar

It's been a tough past few weeks in my neighborhood due to lack of power supply and any form of electricity to charge my device's and do other basic house activity, so I decided to look for authentic to the power supply company and that lead me to visiting a solar power store to purchase one to serve as a source of electricity for my house.

The last time we had electricity prior to my visit to the solar store was three weeks ago and due to the inability to power my device and see clearly around the house by night, I decided to take a loan because I don't have enough money to fund the purchase of the solar, although the company sunking seems to over a flexible was of paying if you don't want to pay outrightly, but u felt the difference between outright purchase and installment is too much and that's what prompted the loan.

After getting the loan, not to forget I did several research before choosing the sunking product, I went to their store and was shown some of their products, plans and much more, so I decided to go with the home 600 package which comes with a 32 inch TV, 5 led bulbs, three charging port and a sensor motion detection for movement around the house.

This also comes with a solar panels and a power box were the power generated from the panel is been stored, general I'm pleased by this purchase, because ever since the acquisition, it as generate me power although day time and at least an additional 7 hours of electricity during the dark, and it even last much longer if all devices weren't use together simultaneously for several hours at night.

I make an outright payment of ₦245,000 to get this solar panels and I think it's super cool, as I don't have to worry about lack of electricity any longer and it'll only consolidate the Normal power supply when that is been installed, the installamenter plan was to cost a whopping ₦318,000 which must be completed within 60 weeks, although it's cool and also flexible, but the difference between it and the outright payment is just to much for me, below is the receipt of my purchase.

Not to just hang the TV around the house without having any meaningful channel to watch, I decided to purchase a DStv decoder which cost ₦22,000, and it comes with a one month free subscription, meaning I can watch almost all channels for free for a Month, it's super cool and now I'm having a great time.

Overall everything I purchased cost about ₦267,000 while the remain funds from the loan was used for others basic needs and investment on hive.

For now everything seems cool one again, but then I'm planning to purchase their other solar package that comes with a fan and every other stuffs that came with this one I purchased aside the TV, and that is to keep the house in cool condition during the harsh weather.

That's about all on my experience at the market the last time, I hope you enjoyed the read, appreciate to @dswigle for the great job she's doing to encourage sharing market experience via the #MarketFriday community.

Thanks so much for your time, have a blessed and productive day ahead.

Normally if our government work well on the electricity and there is light 24/7 one doesn't needs all these but then we don't have choice, this is more of the reasons I left epe because I can't stay without electricity and since our work is more of electricity we must be ready to get things done 👍

I'm glad you were able to get some solar panels! Three weeks without power, gah! I am grateful that I'm in the city proper, and near hospitals and a fire station, because when power goes out here that means they get it fixed pretty fast. The hospitals have generators of course but they probably would run out of fuel if the power wasn't fixed in a decent amount of time.
I know some friends and family who live far from cities though, and they can be out for days if there's a storm. But three weeks, eek!

Ops I understand you point, unfortunately that isn't the case here, but those in develop and rural areas suffers the same fate.

It's disheartening being out of power for that long.

A big thank you for your kind words and support.

Am confused you know. Is it that when you buy the solar panels you are given those devices or the panels are connected to the devices?

I've seen people powering up the most part of their house with solar, maybe you should try that out.

Yea those devices came along side the solar and that's why it's that expensive.

Powering the entire house would cost millions, which I don't have presently but I'll get there one day.

It's harsh having to take a loan, but, worse to be without electricity. I understand. I have no idea how some people do it, in the intense heat of the hottest part of the year, it is absolutely inhumane.

I can see you did your homework and were able to get the best for the money and your usage, and a TV as a bonus!

How are you doing now? I hope all is well with you and your whole family. These are certainly trying times and I am hoping things will get better for all of us. Take care, @vickoly, and as always, it is good to see you.

#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world. Thank you for being a part of #MarketFriday

Yes it's truly not the best of time to take a loan, but with the intense harsh weather. I had no choice but to go for it in order to curb the effect of the weather.

I'm trying to be fine, it's not been easy here, as I'm still trying to adapt to the new environment, but family is fine.

Thanks so much for your kind words, concern and well wishes, I hope you're good as well.

It's always a pleasure to be in the market Friday community, I'm delighted by your impact here.
