HOW I MADE AND GIFTTED SEUNNY BIRKENSTOCK FOOTWEAR AS A BIRTHDAY /CHRISTMAS PRESENT

avatar

Hello, needlework friends and colleagues! Happy Christmas to you all! Due to my busy schedule at my new job, it has been a while since I shared a needlework project, However, as Christmas approaches and it also happens to be my brother's birthday, I decided to make him some high-quality footwear to serve as both a Christmas and birthday present, and here I'll be showing you how I made it.

@seunny was born on Christmas Day, so that makes celebrating him much easier, because most times we don't have to organize a special party or food because a celebration atmosphere is already in place, but then this year I decided to make him a birthday present to celebrate with him on this special season day with these lovely Birkenstoke palm slippers.

I haven't had the chance to work on creating footwear for a month, but once in awhile I do take out time to make something, so when Christmas approached, I wasn't going to gift myself anything because it's been a while since I got a Christmas present, and while I was thinking about what to get myself, I remembered it was my brother's birthday, so I decided to make myself and him a footwear to commemorate the Christmas and his birthday.

Without taking much of your time, join me as I'll be taking you through how I made the Birkenstock palm slippers I gave Seunny as a birthday gift.

Below are the list of materials I used:

  • Suede Black Leather
  • Black leather linning
  • Birkenstock insole
  • Nora
  • OCI gum
  • Flip glue
  • Super glue etc

Here are some of the making processe:

  • I couldn't visit the market, so I send one of my friend to help me get the materials, and by the time he brought it, I notice many important items are missing, but then I decided to make do with what I've.

  • So I pick up a paper and cut the pattern I want for the design, after which I put it on the suede leather and cut out that exact shape.

  • After that I put some gum on it and put it on the black linning, which I then cut out same shape with my scissor, I also apply gum on the pieces where the flip glue will be attached and join it to the upper design.

  • I check it on my wooden shoe last to know if the shape and size is accurate.

  • Once it's was neatly attached together, I took it to my sewing machine and sew some stitches around it.

  • With that completed, I fil the side of that design with the filling machine, I also did same to the Birkenstock insole and nora outsole.

  • In the last phrase of the making, I put some gum on the Birkenstock insole and the Nora outsole and then put them down to dry, while I last the upper design on the Birkenstock insole and adjust the shape with my wooden shoe last, I also join it to the Nora and apply super glue around it.

  • This is the Birkenstock palms sandal I make for my brother @seunny as a Christmas and birthday present and he was grateful after receiving it.

It's such a lovely feeling when you give a present to someone and see how excited they are about your kind gesture, and that's exactly how I felt when he was appreciative.

Thanks so much for your time, have a blessed and productive day.

I don't know if it is good or bad to have a birthday at Christmas, I think that most will want to unify the gift. It's good that you thought of a special gift and made it yourself, that adds more value. These sandals look great 😃.

It had been a while since I read on of your posts, I'm glad to see this neat and well-ordered publication. Congrats!

Greetings ❤️.

Hmm I think most of them won't like it truly, I guess the Christmas season would have overshadow their birthday and they might not feel as special as they would have liked, but then that made things easier for those of us felicitating with them, like me who now Marged but gift together in one.

Yea I've been busy with my new journey, but I promise to find some time for my craft making and blogging subsequently.

Thanks so much for your wonderful review and compliment of my write-up arrangements, have a blessed and productive new year ahead.
