A Healthier, Happier Me: My 2025 Resolution Plan
It's the beginning of a new year, and just like we all know, it's ideal to lay down some things that'll go on to make our lives better in a new year, and just like almost everyone, I have set some New Year's resolutions for myself, which I believe that sticking by through till the end of the year will transform my life for the best, and in this article I'll be telling you all about those resolutions set for my personal life in this year 2025.
It's worth noting that I'm grateful for the steps I took last year towards some of my resolutions, both those I had at the beginning of the year and those I adopted halfway through. Even though I couldn't achieve them all, the ones I could played a significant impact on my life. Last year, I prioritized work and external commitments over my own well-being, and this year, the plan is to change that, concentrating on my overall well-being, family, and happiness, so I'm hoping this year will be far better, and so without further ado, let's get into the resolution proper, one after the other.
Prioritizing health and well-being: In 2024 I took positive steps regarding my health, and it really pays off. Even though I visited the hospital more often, it was worth it as I was able to manage it properly, and in that light I want to continue to prioritize my health and well-being this new year. So I can arrive at a point where illness won't be a thing again in my body, to make this a reality, I'll be working on a strict balance and nutritious diet, as well as taking heed to my regular medical checkup and regular exercise, both indoor and outdoor at the gym, so as to stay proactive about my health.
Strengthening family bonds: If there's something I really don't like about my attitude last year, I'll say it's how I distanced myself from my family too often; it's quite disappointing that I treated everything as though it was about money, and so I just didn't bother to call or reach out but instead sent money regularly. I've come to learn that not everything is about money, but sometimes a simple call or text can make the difference, and I'm hoping to create room for me to have enough time for them this year, which I already took a step on today, as I travel to visit my relatives in Ijebu Ode.
Cultivate relationships and set boundaries: If there's one thing 2024 taught me, it would be how important it is to maintain meaningful relationships and set boundaries in each of them, and that's why this year I'll be adding it to my resolution for the greater good of my well-being and mental health, so I want to focus on trying to be available for my friends and loved ones while also knowing when to say no; being available isn't necessarily being able to render the needed help, so I can be available in comforting words and say no when I don't have the capacity to help, and overbuilding a kind of relationship that's bonded by mutual trust and respect.
Personal fulfillment: Overall, this year I want to focus on achievement and prioritizing things that'll make me fulfilled personally. I've, through the previous years, invested much of my time in team goals with little time for mine, so this year I'll be striving to change that by investing in what'll make me fulfilled: health-wise, material needs, landed properties, and the likes; each of these will go on to give me peace, and that's why I'll be working on them.
So that's about it. Thanks for your time. I wish everyone all the best in their own resolution as well and pray for the strength to stick by them till the end, and we'll all rejoice for how well the resolution has helped shape our lives positively by the end of 2025.

Excellent resolutions, but I think the most important thing is that you are fully aware of what you should prioritize for this year.
Hello @vickoly
I read your entire post, you have mentioned some important things about yourself. If your health is not good then I would like to ask you to pay some attention.
Family is very important in life because these opportunities will not come every time. Some times come when we do not even get this opportunity, then parents and the entire family should give us time.
Thank you.
Wow am so happy you took good care of yourself health wise, because we all know that health is wealth, and I pray God provides all that you need to be in good health
