It’s another week again guys, here we go!!!
How’s it going famz? I hope y’all are doing great. You’re all welcome to hive open mic week #158 and it’s your very own boy vic2ryx. Before anything else, I just want to express my gratitude to the hive open mic community for putting these kinds of stuff together and also for their love and support towards creatives like us. Again, the theme of this week is tagged “Defeating the distance”.

In view of this theme, I’ll be performing a song or let me say a medley, and yea, I love medleys..lolz. This song is a combination of two hymnals and I’ll be doing it in my own acapella style. The title of the song is, “Beyond this Land of Parting and Sweet by and by.”

I chose this song for this theme because it's all about when we all return back home to where we belong. When we’ve all struggled,cried, sighed, passed through all forms of turmoil, there remains a hope that there is a land far beyond. We are all strangers here, this ain’t our home. There is a habitation waiting, well prepared for us.
