Village Smolevo - in Rhodope mountain
In August, with my friends, we passed through the Rhodope mountain village Smolevo. From the Black Sea, we moved towards Southwestern Bulgaria to reach the Veliitsa shelter.
According to information from selo.bg, the population of the village is 540 people and until 1982 the village was called Ilansko. Highness height at which it is located is 1224 m.

We arrived in the village in the morning, and in the center, the locals were having their morning coffee.
It seemed that not many strangers come to the village, but the locals willingly answered our questions.
We saw the town hall and a well-maintained children's corner.
We bought coffee from the local shop and drank it at the gazebo in the center of the village.
The village Smolevo is located in the Avram saddle, which is situated on the border between the two beautiful Bulgarian mountains, the Rila and the Rhodopes. This explains the uniquely beautiful views that are revealed from all directions of the village.

The place look solemn to me. It is my ideal place. I love to see the mountains every morning and I saw it all in this place.
