Limonium vulgare with my bicycle

While riding my bicycle I often come across beautiful and rare flowers.

One of my favorites is Limonium vulgare, as we call it in Bulgarian "Обикновена гърлица". The perennial plant grows in tufts and is found in stony places.

This beautiful tufa, I found near Atanasovo lake. It caught my attention from afar with its beautiful blue purple hues. It was about 50 cm tall and its little flowers were so delicate and numerous.

Bees were landing on her.

I enjoyed the beautiful flower and took many pictures.

Тъкмо потърсих за растението и му казват "морска лавандула"...
подобен ли е аромата?
видях също, че и вирее близо до Сливен край река Тунджа :)

Другото име с което е известнo растението е лимониум. Много са видовете. Но тази туфа която снимах, се среща само на засолена почва и е защитен вид. Виждала съм същите (но по-малки) туфи, по морските скали. Миналата година гледахме един от видовете лимониум в градината - приличат си с дивата, но са с по-различни цветове и други листа. Тези които съм срещала, нямат аромат.
