Museum and Sculptural Works of Pepe García, Margarita Island

Hello Pinmappleros travel lovers, I hope you are very well. I had some time without sharing with you places to visit if you travel to Margarita Island and this museum seemed very interesting, so today I share with you some photos I took and I explain how to get to the place that in turn has next to it 2 restaurants with very rich food certified because I tried in both places, one is called 317 vegan coffee and the other is called Toche Pez and they sell seafood.

Now yes, to begin I tell you that I arrived at this place by coincidence, since I dedicate myself to know the island with patience and curiosity, since I found this place passing by and keeping an eye inside, since they do not have much publicity of both restaurants or the museum, but I will explain how to get there. Here, in Margarita Island, there is a very famous arepera called "Las arepas de los hermanos Moya", most people know this arepera, but if it is not your case, just ask where it is, anyone can find it for you. Two blocks ahead, on the right hand side, towards Parguito beach, you will see a plant vine with a sign that says TOCHE PEZ, it is there, the museum is just inside.

Hola Pinmappleros amantes a los viajes, espero que estén muy bien. Tenía tiempo sin compartir con ustedes lugares para visitar si viajas a la Isla de Margarita y este museo me pareció muy interesante, por lo que hoy les comparto algunas fotos que realice y les explico como llegar al lugar que a su vez tiene al lado 2 restaurantes con comida muy rica certificada porque probé en ambos lugares, uno se llama 317 café vegano y el otro se llama Toche Pez y venden comida de mar.
Ahora sí, para comenzar les cuento que llegue a este lugar por coincidencia, ya que me dedico a conocer la Isla con paciencia y curiosidad, puesto que di con este lugar pasando y echando un ojo hacia adentro, ya que no tienen mucha publicidad de ambos restaurantes ni del museo, pero les explico cómo llegar. Aquí, en la Isla de Margarita, hay una arepera muy famosa que se llama "Las arepas de los hermanos Moya", esta arepera la mayoría de las personas la conocen, pero si no es tu caso, con preguntar donde queda, cualquiera te va a ubicar. Dos cuadras más adelante, a mano derecha, en dirección a playa Parguito, verás una enredadera de plantas con un letrero que dice TOCHE PEZ, es ahí, el museo queda justo dentro.

It is said that this artist in his past was adeco, but I did not go to ask because I do not like politics, in the end I had only gone to see his works and appreciate things that have been done for decades.

Se dice que este artista en su pasado era adeco, pero no me metí a preguntar ya que no me gusta la política, al final solo había ido a ver sus obras y apreciar cosas que están hechas desde hace décadas atrás.

They have a part with all the diplomas he won in life, it is interesting to see each thing in detail, but I could only take pictures because while I was looking they were explaining me over what his works were made of and that nothing of what was there was for sale, at least not what the artist Pepe made, because they are his relics; however, they have an area with sculptures for sale that were made by his son who is still making them in the workshop:

Tienen una parte con todos los diplomas que ganó en vida, es interesante ver cada cosa detalladamente, pero solo pude sacarle fotos porque mientras veía me iban explicando por encima de que estaban hechas sus obras y que nada de lo que estaba ahí estaba a la venta, por lo menos lo que realizo el artista Pepe no, porque son sus reliquias; sin embargo, tienen un área con esculturas a la venta que fueron realizadas por su hijo que aún sigue haciéndolas en el taller:

La obra de Pepe García refleja el gentilicio venezolano, cada una de sus piezas tiene vida propia, es historia, misticismo, tradición, un personaje o muchos. Se dice que a pesar de que tuvo ciertas limitaciones debido a una lesión en la columna, todos los días se ponía a crear nuevas obras.

Another of the things they told me is that he built 7 Venezuelan houses with mud, water and fire, with all kinds of objects, handicrafts and their own cultures, to last in time and space the captured art. In this museum live some of his most significant works that he made throughout his life, just to objects relics that are still talked about and guarded from dust.

Otra de las cosas que me contaron es que levantó con barro, agua y fuego 7 casas de venezolanas, con todo tipo de objetos, artesanías y culturas propias, para durar en el tiempo y espacio el arte plasmado. En este museo viven algunas de sus obras más significativas que realizó a lo largo de su vida, justo a objetos reliquias que aún se conversan y se cuidan del polvo.

Conservando también objetos importantes en su momento, que hoy por hoy se modernizan.

They keep some old cameras, which I loved because I also keep some cameras and they are things that, in my opinion, are like going back to the past.

Mantienen algunas cámaras fotográficas antiguas, cosa que me encantó porque también conservo algunas cámaras y son cosas que a mi parecer, es como volver al pasado.

The place has very nice green areas and I don't know exactly what those hanging balls are, but I found it very interesting to see the art decoration in every space of this museum.

El lugar tiene zonas verdes muy lindas y no sé exactamente que son esas bolas que cuelgan, pero me pareció muy interesante ver la decoración de arte en cada espacio de este museo.

On the other hand, despite the artist's death, they continue to keep his sculptures alive and add more artistry to the works, replicating and creating similar patterns based on religious works from the island.

Por otro lado, a pesar de la muerte del artista, siguen manteniendo vivas sus esculturas y suman con más arte las obras, replicando y creando patrones similares en base a obras religiosas de la Isla.
