Tin Foil Hat: A 5-Minute Freewrite

Jude lived in a small, remote village called Fahr. At first glance, he looked just like any average-looking guy—one that you'd usually ignore among the crowd. However, Jude has a distinguishing feature that separates him from everyone: he always wears a tin foil hat.

Being the only person in the entire village who wears a tin foil hat, Jude can be easily distinguished. If you see a man wearing a hat made out of tin foil, then that's most likely Jude.

Because Jude always wore a tin foil hat wherever he went, he earned the nickname "tin foil hat man." Although the nickname sounded insulting to most people, Jude didn't really care about it and tended to ignore anyone who called him that.

That said, Jude wasn't always the tin foil hat-wearing man that he was known for. Five years ago, Jude was just a regular person who could fit in with the village.

But after going missing for months due to unknown circumstances, Jude became a changed man. Well, unknown was a bit of a stretch, as Jude claimed that he was kidnapped and experimented on by aliens in the month that he was missing, though not a single soul in the village believed him.

However, whether the villagers believed him or not seemed irrelevant to Jude, as he was convinced that what he had experienced was real. For this reason, Jude wears his tin foil hat proudly.
